Anyone that knows me personally knows that I have to be pretty ticked off to get on a forum and post about my frustrations. So let's go in order:
1) Over 30 consecutive days and NEVER have I experienced lag. Now I'm getting hit by invisible cars and I'm shooting at people that look like they are teleporting
2) The Assault Rifle has gone to crap. The dispersion level was increased at least 200%. I've spent everything on that weapon. I suck at FPS enough as it is and now all the AUR I spent on passive boosters has me a little ticked. On top of that it has way more kick and the little light that flashes out of the gun when you aim makes it harder to aim as well.
3) "SUPRISE" there is a patch but me being the idiot that I am I still bought AUR thinking "what could have changed to keep me from supporting this?" and then 20 seconds later I jumped in. You have that giant flash page where you can say that a patch is coming but instead you leave the November stuff on there until two weeks into December. I don't want one single person telling me that I should go to forums and proactively try to figure out if anything is going to happen that is unsatisfactory. I have a life. When I turn on a game with a splash page then I can assume plenty of info would be there. Get rid of the splash page or start actually putting information up.
4) "Ammo limitations were added to vehicles" my butt. I've sat 10 plus minutes in games where tanks just go ape ish and it never appears like they are running out of ammo as far as I'm concerned. Maybe I misunderstood but I thought their were ammo limitations for vehicles. I figure it's only fair since my AR does more damage to the sky then anything else. If you are going to Nerf the AR then Nerf the tanks.
5) Why have all of the animations changed to be more "organic"? The game is about CLONES and I don't care if they bleed. That stupid blood splotch that keeps popping up and taking up my screen while blocking the area in which I need to look in order to shoot back just plain SUCKS. If you want to be more organic then there shouldn't be blood on my screen until, at least, shields are depleted since SHIELDS DON'T BLEED!
6) Everything is more firefight like now. It's like it went more mainstream. I am actually seeing people not hack stuff. I've never seen this before. People are literally just trying to get kills or get into a firefight. Although this one might be trivial I might as well mention it. What is a few extra lines in this long post anyway?
I like to support companies and products that are worth while. I still buy albums! I buy everything or rent or spend money that I KNOW will go to the developers, creators, manufacturers, etc. I do this because I earn a halfway decent living and I don't want people stealing or abusing me for free stuff. That being said, I have bought AUR in this game. I wanted to show my support. I believe I've done just under $40 (With my limit being about $40). I expect that those kinds of gestures from people should be rewarded with a "hey we have a patch coming up soon with serious changes, sit tight" message when I login. If you're afraid that people might not spend AUR then so be it but I wouldn't have spent jack if I knew a month after starting the game that this junk would start to happen. I use to consistently get between 3 and 10 kills in ambush. Now, if I hit 3 then I pour a shot and celebrate. I know some of you are laughing because that is pitiful but I already suck enough as it is...please don't rub it in. Why I am I dying more and killing less in percentages exceeding %15 and worse? I'm playing the best I can so it must be that significant enough changes occurred that it can be said that this is almost a different game.
On another note, I loved the game until the patch came out and although I'm a little ticked off I'll try to get used it. It is a very rare FPS in that it requires absolute strategy. I hope it grows on me. I just don't play games enough to sit and relearn this stuff. I play strategy games. I typically play only a few hours a week. When saving money I might hit like 10 to 12 (saving as in not going out). That isn't enough time to consistently adapt to new animations and mechanics. It isn't worth my time. I might as well start a new game altogether right?
Excuse the grammar as I'm in hurry to get to work. |

Sam,
Thanks, I appreciate the offer but it is uneccesary. I just dislike the changes I have experienced so far. Reading through the forums there are other strategies I use that will have problems as well. I like to ambush people who get out of their vehicle and then hack it and take it for a joy ride. Appearently there is a 15 second hold on that now.
As far as my novice skills are concerned, I have played a month and just broke 3m in SP. I just need to accept that I need to change weapons and re learn the game a little. Actually, your presentation of the scrambler rifle has me convinced. Although I like this game I don't research. I just play and choose a path and make the best with what I chose. I think I'm going to have to spend a few minutes at work looking into it since I am sure others do the same :P. I still have like 6k aur left plus a week of passive booster so I expect that I'll have calmed down by the time the passive booster is done.
In closing,
-Now I understand tanks better -Scrambler Rifle it is. I am actually considering going for the new rail rifle just to use the new "thing" -Tier 3 AR's were a waste :(
I appreciate it. And maybe at some point I'll hold you up to the training session, who knows. I guess a single month isn't really long enough to make the claim that I'm too vested to enjoy the changes. |
