And I dont see any "This game is garbage now" threads
Sure theres a few nerf threads but their always will be
I think CCP finally done it - made a decent update
There aren't any "I quit" threads, but have you seen the hate over friendly fire in FW?
Also, I would keep posting my "PvE will make me spend money on this game/not quit" threads but CCP doesn't give two *****. People probably figured out CCP simply doesn't care if they quit.

First off, if properly implemented, NPCs can be tough. It's all up to the developers as to how predictable they are. You are right though: poorly implemented AI would be easily abused. Supposing PvE was built correctly co-oping an onslaught of rogue drones or pirates could be a helluva lot of fun.
Get creative! Mix and match forces. Pit a team of dust mercs against a horde of Serpentis with a single squad of Dust mercs on the Serptentis team.
Picture this: the payout for dust mercenaries doing a PvE mission is a flat ISK amount. Let's say, 3mil ISK. That payout is splint between the 6 mercs who participate, so 500,000 ISK per merc. Now imagine friendly fire is turned on. The payout would increase if there were only 5 mercs that made it to the end of the mission, right? All of the sudden the payout is split 5 ways... 600,000 ISK per merc. Betrayal and trust become very real parts of Dust 514 very quickly... similar to how Eve Online works.
TechMechMeds wrote:Bashing ai won't do anything for dust beyond becoming a way for people who are incapable of adapting to boost themselves until they have enough sp to get farmed by those that earned their sp in PvP and getting better at the same time.
Again, all of these problems can be corrected with mechanics. Make PvE award 50% less SP than PvP and take longer to complete missions. Make PvE missions ludicrously hard. Create a cooldown on PvE contracts; only 3 a day or 12 a week. Even better, earn PvE missions by participating in PvP.
You are looking at this from a very narrow perspective.
TechMechMeds wrote:Please enlighten me, I have never understood how repetitive dumb ai bashing is fun in anyway other than really old games but that was then, we have PvP now and nothing beats killing another player.
I can spout ideas all day long, but if you don't enjoy PvE then you won't enjoy it. Just know that not everyone shares your feelings on "dumb AI bashing." A fair amount of players want PvE. If you don't, that's fine, but don't **** it up for us.
