Same. I went ops 3 on both. I was originally never going to try the RR because Matari loyalty but decided that was a dumb reason not to try it out. I found in the end that CR was more my playstyle and that is what its going to come down to. I'm a **** poor shot, so something burst that I can feather but still conserve a bit more ammo than laying down the trigger is working out much better for me. Also, running in to revive someone often takes clearing the space. That up close combat works well for me with the CR.
Though I will say, I've been killed by an awful lot of RRs these past 2 days.

I run minmatar logistics so I figured I'd be going combat rifle...better up close, lower fitting costs so I can use the better equipment. Problem is...I'm a mouse and keyboard user, and the range / shooting profile makes the normal burst variants of the CR extremely finicky about your sensitivity settings since mouse doesn't get any kind of aim assist / friction. I'm not entirely sure what the problem is...on a PC fps I'd have no problem with that weapon profile, and I have no issues sniping or using weapons with longer bursts of fire. If I switch to the DS3 I have a much easier time hitting things with the CR, and shooting with a controller is entirely alien to me.
On the other hand the full auto CR is awesome. If there was a cheaper variant of it I'd use it a lot. I'll probably use it on my more expensive fits. My cheap support logi fits might start using the rail rifle more. I didn't get much practice with it last night, but I did get a couple up close kills with it. The idea being to try and hang back from the front line a little or use cover to pick off longer range targets while the rest of my squad focuses on the closer ones.
I thought for this reason as well I'd be using the RR and scared of it at the same time. I started my logi journey in MDs and SMGs, but once range became a huge player, my suit never stood a chance against the ARs. When ScR came, it was even more vital that I had it to simply match their range. They were taking me out from across the map and I had to arm myself with something that could reach out and touch them back in time to find viable cover. However, I'm finding the CR is much more for me. I'm a bad shot, but have done significantly better with the CR on my controller. I find so many of my other team members are running RR that if I can avoid those in the distance, they'd take them down for me. The CR lets me get in to an area where team members are down and clear the room much more efficiently. I'll say that I've died plenty from RRs lately, but up close and personal, I think I'm winning out over the RRs with my CR.
