Hey, so I have been a long time enthusiast of the Breach Assault Rifle. It has a RPM of 400 Damage of like 51 Accuracy around 56 Clip of 32
But then comes along the Rail Rifle. At first I was excited. It was said to perform very much like the Breach assault rifle but have longer rifle. I was soooo happy.
But now that I have tried the Rail Rifle, I am heavily disappointed. The Rail Rifle is too good by comparison!
It has +61 to the RPM but with a very miniscule charge feature It has like 7 more damage It has +2 to the accuracy and +10 Clip size. It's CPU/PG is slightly more but it more than warrants the use of the rail rifle.
CCP the rail rifle had to be different not better in all aspects! It hands down beats the Breach Assault Rifle which does not make any sense! Who would dare use the Breach AR now?
I personally believe that the Rail Rifle and Breach Assault Rifle need their RPM switched. It doesn't make sense that a Gallente close-quarters weapon is Out-DPS'd by a Caldari Rail Rifle. If I am correct the Rail Rifle followed the idea of the Breach AR but for Longer ranges. But this! This is just crazy, the Rail Rifle competes so much better than the Breach Assault Rifle at close quarters it is ridiculous.
CCP please make this right. Do not kill the breach AR just because people want the FOTM. I understand it was never very popular, but it warrants no right to kill it. |

It would not make sense to introduce a mimic that is inferior in every way. The aSCR, ARR, and ACR can all keep up with the Assault Rifle, but why shouldn't the Breach keep up with the Rail Rifle? |

Nooooo think Assault Rifle, How high the DPS of a shotgun is when it has damage of 32 *not good example*, think Blaster turrets. Compare that to the Caldari weapons which are Low RoF & High Damage |

Don't try to relate the TAR to this situation because the TAR vs Scrambler rifle is a sketchy one. One has heat, heat damage, and variable damage while the TAR can unload a clip as fast as it wants and has consistent damage.
The only non-comparable trait between the Breach and the Rail Rifle is that the Rail Rifle has a miniscule, nearly negligible charge up time. Also what do you suppose should happen to all the other weapons? You think they should remove the Assault Scrambler Rifle, the Assault Combat Rifle, and the Assault Rail Rifle? If so, why did they add them? They can't be placeholders because the assault rifle already exists. And why is it that the Assault SCR, RR, CR can keep up with the Assault Rifle but it's wrong that the Breach should be able to keep up to the Rail Rifle? If you do believe so, then please, continue the campaign against weapon variants. Long live Vanilla huh?
I have nothing against you but I believe that removing weapon variants or "Killing" them goes against the progress of a diverse Dust 514. |

The particular variants give the people the ability to compete with any other racial rifle class without speccing into them. The way things are now people still have to pick their favorite play style and spec into the weapon that matches it. But thank god Talos, I mean, I was beginning to think no one understands the concept of weapon vs weapon. Just because it's a mimic doesn't mean it should be worse, just different in a few ways. |

The RR should have a little lower DPS than the other rifles but make up for with its ability to dominate at longer ranges. The low RoF would make it an incredibly risky weapon to use in CQC.
As for the BAR, it should have the highest DPS of the ARs (and racial rifles for that matter [not considering the ScR's charge shot]) but have less range in exchange. Exactly. The Breach AR should out DPS the Rail Rifle but the Rail Rifle should out-range the Breach assault rifle. I am not sure about having the highest DPS of the Gallente rifles unless you mean buffing the damage while keeping the RoF. The slow RoF insures a tight hipfire spread which is necessary in those short ranged engagements where you don't want to reload nor miss shots (Breach AR kills in less shots). |
