Are they guys? I just really have been shocked by the changes. They are... drastic to say the least.

There are 3 things that have shocked me most today:

 1). The speed of tanks

2). The new cost of fitted tanks

3). The ineffectiveness of AV gear.

I love Dust, but the changes today have simultaneously made me love it even more but also want to just pack it in.

The rail rifle and visual polish added make the game pop that little bit more.

The proliferation of tanks and the changes to them just make me want to cry.

The things that I think may need adjusting would be the reduction of speed to tanks, the addition of greater negative modifiers for them with speed modules i.e. health reduction and some sort of increase in cost.

 What do you guys think?

Am I just being a QQ'ing blueberry or is there something off about these vehicles?

I think as far as vehicle verse vehicle gameplay goes, it is much better. In regards to AV, forges are still something to look out for as well as AV nades, but swarms are pathetic.

Is it better at the cost of infantry game play though?

It just seems like everybody is bringing multiple tanks to games. With them costing so little there has been a massively decreased risk to the their deployment =/

Why can't we attribute the large amount of tanks to 'Hey! We just changed this thing from the ground up, wanna try out the new fun vehicles?'
Same with the flaylock. It was a focking rocket pistol.
Let things die down, if there's still tank spam 2 weeks from now then there -might- be a problem.

I think it will take a few weeks, but soon AV grenades and REs/PMs will be a common loadout - chokepoints will be cluttered with REs and Proximity Mines, and blaster tanks who approach groups of mercs will be met by a hellstorm of AV grenades.

Agreed. It's day one. Not even 24 full hours. Wait till things cool down and the hype wears off. If the issue is still there, I'm certain enough repeated QQing over weeks will start to open some eyes. As a developer myself, some math looks great on paper before its implemented into something. Some people need to chill and stop yelling at CCP for a free product on the first day after a release.

the fact that tanks can now climb mountains to kill me in my redline is pretty disturbing.

so is the physics when 2 tanks get close to each other, they literally start humping each other.

aaaand let's not forget the fact that tanks are now as fast as LAVs

Time to use REs and Proxies. They pop tanks fast and they never expect REs on the upper sections of the arches into city areas.

I'mma not be mean this time, because there are some things slightly off with Tanks (obviously need more damage to kill uber infantry.. lol jk)

 1) Speed is a little too fast, particularly with Armor tanks and that Nitrous, need to find the right balance with it

 2) The cost made tanking unfun. With this lower pricing it means I can die and not cry a lot at my squad, I can laugh and say oh well, two matches, which is still 2 matches but not a lot but still means there's a loss.

 3) Lies and Slander. AV requires more effort than previously, Now you have to time it OR coordinate. Earlier today I rolled up on what I thought was a lone AVer, when suddenly I got hit by a Forge and Swarms, while the guy in front lobbed AV grenades, I had no chance to flee and my modules weren't active. BUT that said, if you're dumb enough to rush me while I'm flashing, you're done.

I think you just need a little more time to adjust, same with a lot of players, honestly though this has made tanking fun and I'm not slaughtering infantry, Tank fights require a bit more, atleast that's what I feel.

Yeah, even in tank v tank, if their hardener is up, i need to either use a dmg amp, or use 2 overheats to kill him.
Which is alot more fun than "drive up, pew pew, dead"
At least now positioning is important and same with timing offensives.

 1.) It's bugged

2.) Prices were outrageous, tier-to-tier, they still cost twice as much as proto suits and are still easily killed w/o active mods on.

3.) Again, active mods are very good. You're not supposed to easily kill a tank with it's mods on. However, if you time you attacks during it's down times, you should be more successful. Meaning it actually takes skill and tactics to use AV and vehicles.
