Think we should consider changing the name of the game now since that's all it is. Literally you spend the entire match fighting tanks or getting shot down by tanks
Lets draw out a list:
Tanks:
Cheaper than dropsuits now, Madruger/Gunnlogi frame cost 97,500. Proto commando suit cost 94,425k for frame? 60k will get you a drive-able militia tank with blasters and reps
Buff missile damage
Auto firing missiles barrages only thing that stops is the reload
Perma speed boost
More torque than a Ferrari
Instant boost to shield
Turn radius boosted on shield tanks
New flavor of the month----Gunlogi! Never run out of pg again!
Infantry:
Nerfed AV grenades proto lai dai's now equivalent to to packed? Couldnt even kill a MILITIA LAV(which cost 18k isk)with one PROTO av grenade(23k isk)
Made heavies even slower
New armor based rifles rip through heavies
Nerfed forge guns x2, I feel like I'm shooting blue nerf balls at gunlogis now, How can a shield based damage weapon not take out a shield tank
Nerfed Swarm launchers damage
Nerfed Swarm launcher range
Nerfed Swarm launcher clip size
Is this the idea of balance?
Can we put av back to where it was pre patch? 5 swarms in a clip, increase the lock time to what it was, packed av's 8 outta 10 times could kill a militia lav, and see how it is up against the tanks now. Lets be honest if a tank can get destroyed by a AV grenade....they deserve
All n all tanks costing 60k are more effective than a prototype av suit costing over 150k. The best thing you guys did with this patch is the rag doll effect. Now you can at least see peoples bodies flying from getting hit by tank blasters.
So much effort is put into these big changes when the minor game play changes like RDVs "successfully" deploying blown up / flipped vehicles, using your vehicle as a yo-yo, lag issues, turbo scrambler rifles that melt armor, 60 ton tanks and 2 ton LAV's gently pushing enemies off to the side to ensure their safety, but hey on the upside, tankers are having fun and we have volcano's, next patch do we get lava? maybe even a pond on one of the variations of the same maps over and over |
