YOU BASTARD YOU DIDNT PROTECT HER.
Suffer at your own helplessness, you just got the best character and romance option killed.

Unfortunately you are. I would have sacrificed the entire teams for her...however if you don't romance her its better she die than end up with who she does.
Lol so you didn't prep your ship or consider the end game situations well.....
I remember my first play through, I loved the Dirty Dozen and spent hours analysing and agonising over decisions before making them end game, which saw all my guys survive.

It was Suicide Mission stuff, I had her hold the line, trying to keep entire team alive, so I sent Mordin with crew. I know Tali dies if she fights protoreaper. So....
Mordin goes back with the crew, Kasumi infiltrates, Miranda holds the line as SL, Samara runs defence orb and Jack and Tali come with you to the final event.

It was literally the very end of the thing. Tali wasn't killed in the tube, she was killed by an effing Collector. I'll give yours a try and see what happens. I guess I'm lucky that there's a "restart mission" option in the load screen.
Well having played ME several times over I came to realisation that Tali is not cut out for frontline combat.
Neither is jack since she wear....nothing....
Garrus, Wrex, that Merc guy, Thane, and Jacob can cover the less combat oriented characters.

First time with ME2, did complete ME1, killed Ashley, and in this one, Tali was the first one I did the loyalty mission for.
I am mind way through my Perfect ME trilogy play through.
Let Rachni got, left Kaiden, Shepards best friend, romanced Ashley, but Kaidens death left scars and change him. Ashley's rejection of the reanimated Shepard wounded him further, Tali was a loyal friend and after finding her on Haestrom and securing the Geth prototype pulse rifle got into a relationship after the incidents with the Migrant Fleet.
On realising the team was ready they hit the Omega 4 relay and destroyed the secret lurking there.
ME3 well that is yet to be decided.

I easily had enough Paragon points to talk him out of killing me by then end of Noveria.
