If the other player is bad you have a chance of trying to drive behind him for 2 minutes to cleave trough the reps but if he's good it's all about trying to nitros by him to get a few shots in his rear. A good tanker won't be capable of killing an other tanker because they can just run away.

It's about tactics and timing now Ansiiis. Good tankers slip up still, but Tank battles don't end immediately, they're like little skirmishes and then eventually one slips up and the other wins.

Plant 6 RE's on the front of an LAV and just ram that tank full speed. Job done.

cal FW sucks, the other team are just infested by madrugar squads, who make it a complete ***** to try and kill them. tanks are now a matter of provoking module use, waiting for the cooldown to start and then dps away, at least for dropships they are.

If you are skilled into AV I'd be willing to squad up and destroy some tanks. I haven't been on today so I really don't know how effective my swarms are anymore vs tanks. |

I'm not a tanker, but that was one of the most glaringly obvious balance issues with tanks.

Aye, thankfully it's a bit more balanced now, come across lots of tankers trying to still use the Blaster for everything, is a very bad idea because then they lose to weapons that outclass them :)

It is increasingly obvious how many tankers actually suck. I'm not saying I'm good just that it's easier to bait tankers now more than ever.
Oh and is this how to fit a blaster madrugar now? 1 plate 1 hardener 1 repper a turret and a dmg mod? sometimes I change the plate for a second hardener.

If you and infantry had it your way, a blaster would be no more effective than an automatic rifle, a rail gun no more effective than a sniper rifle, and missile no more effective than a mass driver.

My point was, that the blasters were undermining the missile and rail turrets. |

Just saw a tank battle, it was a laugh, the whole match one guy just kept messing around in a tank, someone on my team spawns one, enemy tank starts fleeing, our tanker peruses, and this continues till the end of the match, neither died, Yakety Sax ran through my head the whole time! |

This very thing happened to me my first match today! Buddy calls in a Rail Gunnlogi at the beginning of the match, proceeds to play around, but not being any real threat to anyone but the random blueberry that runs into his path. Meanwhile, i'm trying out my new CR fits (six kin CR is bonkers), but our team is starting to get proto-stomped badly. I eventually decide to call in my tank, test it out. Whip out my Blaster Gunnlogi, turn the corner from my spawn area, first thin i run into is an FG heavy. Try to kill him, but actually overheated my ion cannon before i could kill him. he has hit me with three FG blasts in a row at this time, so i activate my shield booster and try to high-tail it, but wouldn't you know it, i run right out in the open in front of mr. Rail Gunnlogi. Bam! two shots me. Respawn, call down another tank, he is camping the spawn area, trying to blast my tank while still attached to the RDV. He fails, i hop in my tank, sneak-a-peak around the corner to see him just sitting there waiting for me. So, i do the logical thing and go the long way around. I pull up behind him, and start unloading with my blaster turret, and he makes a run for it. I end up chasing him all over the map (tanks are pretty darn fast now), and literally just as the battle ends, i end up popping him, and the "Defeated: MCC Destroyed" screen pops up. It was a very fun and exhilarating experience. Kinda made me feel like a sneaky stealth predator pouncing and chasing down his prey. And to be honest, this may very well be my new favorite tactic, if it works out a few more times. |

Tell that to the attorney general and his madrugar buddy. My friend distracted them with swarms while i rolled up and blew them both up with full salvos of proto missiles.
Tactics have changed. Adapt.
(To be fair the general popped me earlier. Not trying to say I'm better than him)
