No tutorial can give a mercenary war wisdom and what would appear to be common sense to thwart the plans of the enemy.
Extension of Academy is not going to teach the player how to work together with other mercs on the same team
It's also not going to give a mercenary a steel heart for those moments when defeat seems inevitable.
It's going to take the player to build these things. Not Academy and not the inclusion of more detailed tutorials.
My father used to say that old saying, "You either born a Marine or you're made one"
This is true in Dust 514. You are either built to take on the dangers of New Eden or you are made.
Not everybody can understand that though and think hand holding is the answer.
Well that logic is why people quit so much, this isn't real life, people simply just uninstall dust.
Anyway by your logic, people wouldn't learn from extra time spent in the academy? So people don't have the ability to learn you are saying? People don't have initiative?
Completely disagree, your logic works in real life, not in a game.

So people don't have the ability to learn you are saying? People don't have initiative? Completely disagree, your logic works in real life, not in a game. You simply do not understand. It's a mindset we put to all things. The mindset to push forward. To learn from our mistakes. To gather information and knowledge that will help us succeed. No a person wouldn't learn from extra time spent in the academy. Let's examine that further. What exactly is Academy teaching the new player? Is it teaching the new player that you should drop down nanohives for that heavy so he can keep protecting an objective? Is it teaching the new player that suppressive fire could save the man getting hit next to you, clone? Is it teaching players that when your clone reserves are at 70 with MCC shields failed and the other team has full MCC bars plus 120 clones left to keep on going and that the tides can change? You see my point? It's a mindset that can be applied to anything. Wisdom can be applied to all things. You cannot simply dismiss wisdom for the simple fact its "just a video game" or that this isn't real life.
No I do understand.
Extra time in academy gives the people with initiative time to train, the people without initiative will never get good, ever.

No I have read everything you said and you even agreed with me.
People with initiative will get better and those without won't, so for the benefit of those with initiative the academy is good but for those without they'd quit before they even finish with a longer time spent there and we wouldn't have to deal with them in matches as much.
As for you being very up front, I am also the same, reality is too much for some to take and they get offended lol.

Ah wait yeah, its late here.
No you can't teach them but you can weed them out with longer academy, they'd simply quit and the determined would stay.
