pretty much as stated above.
the delay makes hitting peak-abo's nearly impossible, and if you can't do that what's the point of a long ranged weapon, the scrambler is just more versatile imo.
the combat rifle on the other hand is a short to mid range machine, you can mow unsuspecting people down before they even know they are being hit. |

I'm excited to see something negative on that gun. I was shaking my head at the very idea of something with even farther range that could kill my paper thin logi from across the map

In order to peak-a-boo, you need a bit a foresight and luck. But otherwise, the RR is not a peak-a-boo friendly weapon.
It's a CQC, 1v1 beast! |

RR is awesome, if you want to peak a boo you need to start firing as you step out.

According to range testing with a turret, the RR max optimal range is only 60 meters. On top of that, it has some decent ADS kick with sustained fire.
To me, it's not a good ranged weapon, but it's a monster CQC weapon. |

I meant shooting targets that are peek a booing, so far the only scenario i've liked the RR from is high ground shooting, something the scrambler does well already.
I haven't really tested it thoroughly in CQC, so that may be it's niche, but the few CQC battles i've been in the comabt rifle has just murdered me before my charge time was even done to fire my first shot. |

Scramble rifle, auto-fire control is still a disturbing combo. The combat riffle does seem to out perform the the regular assault riffle. The range gap is so small that only very few situations will the AR have an advantage. |

AR / AScR have less kick - straight bullet hoses.
Player that feather the trigger well and keep steady aim will do better than AR but it should be that way.
Also smaller clip which you blow through. |

Feels pretty balanced. It hits targets coming at you from far(like when they run at you in a open field) but is poor in CQC situations.
Really balanced, can't wait to get the proto version.
