"Long TTK is not fun if itGÇÖs the result of loose controls, poor aim assists or dance-strafing/bunny-hopping combat GÇô all problems that DUST has suffered from in the past."
How do you recommend I play defense? Armor stack my whole 2 low slots so I'm a walking **** tank? THE WHOLE POINT of the minmatar assault is to use speed to out-flank and out-strafe your opponent. You've desigined the suit to do exactly that! You gimped the CPU/PG because speed was supposed to be a viable tank. Now you've lowered TTK, increased hit detection, 'tweaked' aim assist, nerfed strafe speeds, and now are telling us that you'd like to speed be even LESS of a viable tank?
Before this turns too far down QQ lane, Would someone at CCP like to make a comment on "the vision" of the minmatar suit? How do you guys envision this suit style being utilized? I honestly cannot find a viable build that allows me to fill all slots, and perform ANY role better than another suit on the field...And you can't fill all slots with complex mods (Sans CPU enh) to boot.
My experiments have included speed tanking, prof damp tanking, shield tanking, Cx dmg mod tanking, armor tanking, etc. The only way to fill all slots is to make a suit that is not in line with any of the Racial abilities, if you speed tank both lows there's not enough room to run anything relevant in Highs. If you profile damp the lows, you can only fit 4 complx highs (you have to fit 2 enh damps to get under 28db). Shield regs, but again the fitting costs gimp the highs.
Please blue tags, some insight as to what this suit was designed for and where CCP envisions its usefullness on the battlefield going are most welcome.
And before someone says CQC 2x sidearm that is only viable in pub matches. Go into PC and get smashed.
And AV role? Yes prolly best suit in game 5xdmg mods. But a proto suit just for AV??? I can't believe they'd relegate it to just that.

I agree that bunny hopping and strafing should not be considered a bad thing by the community. If you out strafe The person that is shooting you then you are doing a good job at strafing. How else could Scouts and fast builds avoid damage.

If "dance strafing" and "bunny hopping" are defined as "wiggle the sticks & mash the buttons randomly to avoid getting shot" then I would characterise them as "bad".
If they are defined as "any attempt to win a firefight by moving around" then I would characterise them as "good or bad, depending on how well they are done".
If they are defined as "skilful movement expressly designed to break your opponent's aim" then I'd characterise them as "good".
Without a clarification from the author himself, why is everyone assuming the worst?

Edit: Moved to Feeback/Requests Thread
Relax, it's worse than you think. You need 1comp and 1enh to get below 28.
Math:
50 - (50 * .1) = 45. Natural resistant to basic
45 - (45 * .2) = 36. Not enough to evade ADV (one enh mod)
45 - (45 * .25) = 33.75. Needed to avoid ADV Scanner (one complex mod)
Staking penalty for second mod =86.9%
.20 - (.20*.869) = 17.38% 2nd enhanced mod after stack penalty
.25 - (.25* .869) = 21.7% 2nd complex mod after stack penalty
36 - (36 * .1738) = 29.75. (2 enh mod, not enough to get below 28)
33.75 - (33.75 * .1738) = 27.89 (1 comp + 1 enh)
But look on the bright side. All that time you were running 2 enh mods thinking everyone was using flux duvalle turns out they were probably just using regular proto. And you can go back and rebuild that damp suite you made with just 1 complex dampener and free up a low slot with no actual change to the effectiveness of that suite.
