Problems always come up on patch day. Eve Online players suffer this problem as well every time a new expansion comes out twice a year. It's just part of progress.
The first week is usually the most buggy anyways and therefore it makes sense to report all bugs in a proper and constructive manner over at the technical section of the forums. Voice comm issues, lag, unexplained drops from matches, etc. are usually expected on the first week of deployment.
That said, CCP has at least been historically known to stay on top of these problems during the first week with hot fixes that get deployed immediately on downtime.
So take a dose of Ritalin and calm down. The problems will be fixed.
OK, CCP. When are knives finally going to be improved?

Umm I kind of expected the game to work as advertised(like just about every other developer and producer is able to do except CCP). I think the hamsters they have doing QA must have died in their wheels and no one replaced them at the office. |

+1 for truth.
It usually goes something like:
Patch Day: Incessant flaming and needless whining Patch Day +1: Legitimate balance and bug catch threadnaughts Patch Day +2-6: People post about things they actually like Patch Day +7: Threads about missing content and rageposts about how we haven't had communication from devs on what is in next patch begins

Then welcome to New Eden.
Updates here never go smoothly on the first week and we made it a habit to lower our expectation every time. You should do the same.

I can't begin to count the times I have seen this used as an excuse for poor game development and lack of QA by CCP and it's players on both Eve and Dust. If ****** programming and no QA is a hallmark of CCP people are proud of then I have no words... |

Don't ever confuse that phrase with lack of QA.
CCP always does QA before they release their updates. The problem, just like in Eve, is that what you see in controlled environments is not always exactly how they turned out in a live environment. The only way for CCP to know exactly what will happen is if we receive the patch.
It's like creating medication. Testing experimental meds on a few hundred volunteers will not give you all of the results of the side effects. Mass distribution will.
OK, CCP. When are knives finally going to be improved?

You must be new to gaming, cause just about every big game on the market right now has day one patches for things the developers couldn't catch during development, and MMO are notorious for having day one bug for game release and patch days.
This is a common problem for almost every MMO, you should start getting use to it. |

Battlefield 4 is still experiencing huge player crashes and even campaign progress losses. This is a HUGE EA title so please don't say CCP are the only ones

I strongly urge you to put yourself in their position. You have a game that is played by tens of thousands. These players expect a working game whenever they choose to log in. You have a staff of under 75 people, and you need to push a big update. There is only so much that you, as the dev, can do to control the amount of bugs that appear on the varied hardware that the PS3 is, with the varied types of internet connections that your player base has. Understand that regardless of how hard you work, there will ALWAYS be a bug that needs to be crushed one way or another.

I played 7 games without a single problem today other than some minor lag issues probably connected to Time Warner Cable. |
