Why do people hate us so? we kill the enemy turrets so they can't kill 12 of you, we kill the enemy CRU so they can't spawn in more reinforcements, we even exterminate the enemy whenever we can see them. What more do you want?

Personally I love the railgun on tanks. I move right on in with that thing. If they have av I back off to a range where i can negate missle volleys...then they orbital me.
People push you back to the redline then they want us to be unable to fire from the redline to force us right up next to av squads. Honestly its dumb. How about this, start threads about removing av entirely! There, now the bitching is on both sides and just as ridiculous as each argument. Contrary to their belief, rails do have a max range...its just quite a long ways.

It's just railguns in general.
Being able to sit in the redline with a brick tank, taking pop shots at my dropship while I try to be useful, is entirely infuriating, especially when you manage to put some heat on said tank and he just trollolols his way backwards and recalls.

Because you can't be killed or even threatened really behind the redline yet possess arguably the best fire power in the game.

Blind? You must be picking some bad spots to camp, considering you can get a commanding view of most maps while having excellent cover to roll into at a moments notice

yup, I can see infantry 25 meters further than a swarm launcher can lock me from. on a good day. on the right map, from the right angle. Damn, that's sooooooo OP man.
200+ meters out, the only things I can see are vehicles(and sometimes they don't render in) and turrets/supply depots/CRUs(and these don't always render in either)
Man, if only I could actually see the infantry, then they might be allowed to complain even a little bit.

Ain't artillery style weapons a b*tch? Learn to fly! Rails have been the least of my problems in a DS.

The installation rails that the blueberries cap only to have them get capped back to red are a bigger problem. Never seen you before. Artillery usually fires in an arc, and generally requires a spotter.
I also don't fly around the flight ceiling with afterburners all game

Someone's never used a railgun before. they have a minor arc, and, might I add an EXTREMELY unrealistic travel time. at the distances in game, there would be virtually zero travel time due to the massive speed of the slug.

I've used railguns, and when you say minor, you mean minor, it is hardly noticeable, unlike typical artillery which is designed to make use of a high arc to achieve maximum distance. The travel time is a bit slow, but when you hit like an MCC, it's the least they can do to even you out.

And being blind past 200M? what's that for? to force us into places we're not meant to fight in so that we get slaughtered by AV?

got it, so we should blind all AR users to 15 meters, shotgunners only get 1, knives are just swinging blind then.
You want equality? here's your blindfold, charge into danger headlong. Also, every single one of your suits costs you 5x what you'll get in this match. And your weapon is now affected by lag and will misfire constantly if you have any. and a dead on shot is only a 50-50 chance of killing, the other 50 is completely harmless, or them taking 1/2 the splash damage and that's if you're lucky.
oh, and you have to spend 2-3x the amount of SP just to get to "not objectively terrible, but still going to get completely wrecked if one person on the field has a particular weapon."

That has nothing to do with balance and everything to do with faulty mechanics

then they need to fix the mechanics. but imagine the QQ that would happen if all the tankers who adapted when they were blind, hobbling around on one foot, with partially faulty weapons suddenly had sight, a working vehicle physics engine, and functional guns.
The ARQQ would have CCP take tanks out of the game or something.

I ran four to six howitzers on treads pretty consistently and used them properly...Depending on the situation, you really dont need a spotter. Like say from the top of a hill where I have the advantage...seems all the cliffs are along the redlines huh..
I actually got really good with howitzers and large cannons on that game...too bad the servers went down. Miss it alot. 2000+ cockpit hours logged.
