I'm new to this forum, so go easy with me...
This idea has been in my mind for a while, but i think it may work Why not introducing a new module which increases the range of a weapon, to be fitted in the low slots? This way it could balance the damage mods in the high slots: right now if you want more damage you have to lose some shields module; => then if you want more range you have to sacrifice some armor modules.
I'm not yet sure how it would work for MDs, but still... |

Im not sure how that will work out, considering we are getting two new weapons in the Rail Rifle and the Combat Rifle. Both of them have a ACOG sight to start off with. and they are supposed to have decent range in themselves. I just don't see this working out because of the armor loss, its already bad enough when shield extenders don't do that much anyways compared to armor to begin with. Then with the Flux grenades and SR's shields may as well be obsolete. the only way to keep a semi decent survivable suit then would be Armor and I don't see a lot of people losing armor in favor of range extenders when they can just as easily change the type of weapon they use.
Im not trying to keep you off the forum either, im new myself as you can see by the likes I have received. Keep thinking and bringing out new ideas, check the other forums and see what other people think or what problems their are that you may not know about. That's why theres a forum to begin with to bring to light issues people have. |

In eve those items are called GÇ£Tracking ComputersGÇ¥ which can be loaded with GÇ£ScriptsGÇ¥ which are a kind of ammo such; that doesn't run out, it just changes the effects to the tracking computer.
E.g; An optimal Range scripts, increase your optimal range but then reduce the tracking of the turrets - Translated into Dust that could be the speed you track when ADS. And the Tracking Speed script will do the opposite effect.
This would be interested to have indeed.

When you get it like that that does sound interesting, especially for snipers who would drop a plate for a Optimal Range extender like you described. It would make them more accurate for some as well because of the sensitivity compared to moving targets over distance. For me its hard to peg someone at close range, let alone over a distance. I usually have more success at about the 250 range plus or minus 35. my longest one yet was at 320 and that was honestly just great timing on my part, not by any really good shooting. If I could slow down the sensitivity while also extending the range I can shoot or even maybe how far my scope can zoom in, that would be nice. I just don't want to keep changing the sensitivity over and over again when I switch to different weapons.

Or tracking scripts could improve the effect of auto assist latching onto and sticking to targets. That would be cool. |
