I'm taking a wild guess here... Caldari Production Outpost and SI set but disabled pending minor updates for performance reasons. This could allow them to release a minor patch through the update system and then flip a switch to turn it on.

Well, the devs have arguably done as much work in 2-3 months than they did in 7 for uprising :D

i read a while back, its a completely new build, so your basically redownloading the enitre game. thats why its always the same number (2.4gb) when we have large updates. |

i just hope that the download completes properly and not like back then when the downloads stop near the end and then corrupting the game forcing you to re-download everything again

Not really, if you look at the game data DUST is never as big as it seeems to have gotten. A LOT of this data is replacement code, that is the nature of a patch. They had to completely redo vehicles, so a lot of this code is probably replacing the Vehicles portions of the game, stuff like that.
