So scouts have been on the rough, rusty nail end of the nerf bat for nearly a year now.
With recent changes in the way the TacNet works I believe I might have found a good use for the scout suit.
My request would be;
Make the Scout suit TacNet shared with all squad members!
This would in theory mean the scout was 'Scouting' the battlefield and passively relaying information to his/hers squad mates! Another use would be when a scout is sniping, we can actually see where they are shooting at, and help them accordingly.
Another slightly bigger change that would need some hashing out, would be If we also increased the passive scout scanning radius so instead of 180 it was 270 degrees(leaveing a 90 degree arc behind the scout), it would further allow scouts to be that one step ahead they desperately need.

this is what the scanner modules should enable - there should be one for individual or for squad
BUT no CCP broke the dampner and scanner modules and trees by not reworking them and making them useful but by further trashing them by introducing the scanner as an equipment slot
agree scouts scanning range should be increased |

Most scouts you'll talk to don't want this, at least not without the ability to disable /enable it, and I doubt you'll find many that are willing to be glorified squad equipment. Nothing wrong with using your mic on comms either to share intel.
Also not sure what you mean by "the passive scout scanning radius" - there is no difference to the passive scanning across all suits *except* a small increase in scan radius for all light (inc. scout) suits. Light suits have 16m radius, every other suit has 10m.
There is no difference in "degrees of arc" - it's a whole circle, 360 degrees, for *all* suits' passive scanning. LoS is a different matter and not something you've mentioned, but again, it's the same across the board for all suits. |

Good luck with this Guinevere. I've already made my thoughts about this known in Sponk's thread. You should take concerns from there and elaborate them here.
When I look down my scope, all I see are dead people.
