A call to arms to everyone who owns proto, the first week of 1.7 will be PROTO PUBSTOMP MADNESS!!!!!
since people are so offended at the use of proto and officer gear in FW we should just leave it where it is now, in all the public contracts.
at least untill the dust settles and the forums are full of QQ threads from people complaining to CCP wondering why FW wasnt a fix for the proto stomping. |

The team who wins in FW will be the one with the least snipers/vehicles/proto/officer gear... Because they'll TK each other the least

Ghost Chance, I believe that what you are calling for is already being done in 1.6 and its quite pointless because it will continue long after 1.7 turns into 1.8.

It's sarcasm not sarcasim ...
FW 2.0 Was never going to fix the problem anyway, proto pubstompers will proto pubstomp regardless of what else they introduce because if they wanted a challenge in the 1st place they wouldn't be doing it in pub games anyway
Anyone who thinks FW 2.0 is a fix for protostomping is deluded .. scrubs will always be scrubs

I doubt it will make any difference to current proto stompers, their preferred game mode are ambush and it only exists under pub contracts.
Skirmish is usually the gamemode with the least protostompers and without an isk income I think FW matches will become fairly balanced. The added risc of loosing protogear from friendly fire might even out the deployed equipment.
Ambush is for isk farming and kdr boosting, cannot blame anyone from using their finest suits here with little risc of going isk negative. Ambush is also a great gamemode for testing out different builds to see how useable they are against other skilled proto players.
The value of the loyalty store items have to be big to attract many of the proto teams whom can use the items to get an advantage in PC matches. |

I plan to just camp in the redline with a Thales until the smoke clears and the dust settles.
(I really don't want to do it. I was hoping to use all of my bankrolled SP on new toys, not putting uselessness into Proficiency.)

I say let people use proto and officer in FW 2.0. If you die with it, the other team has a chance to get it.
Oh, didn't people read the print? Random loot tables are being removed for FW and replaced with a system similar to Planetary Conquest. So please, feed me your proto as I give you nothing.
