What if they had the same stacking penalty that many modules had, but also gave out more HP? This would allow shield users to use damage mods and still have a somewhat strong tank at the same time, but would make stacking 4-5 extenders less viable than it is right now.
Something like this:
Current Progression 33/44/66
1 Extender - 66 HP Total/73 with skills
2 Extenders- 132HP Total/145 with skills
3 Extenders- 198HP Total/218 with skills
4 Extenders- 264HP Total/290 with skills
5 Extenders- 330HP Total/363 with skills
My Suggestion 45/66/90
1 Extender -90HP Total/99 with skills
2 Extenders-168HP Total/185 with skills
3 Extenders-220HP Total/242 with skills
4 Extenders-245HP Total/270 with skills
5 Extenders-254HP Total/280 with skills
Thoughts?

I mean IT IS a pretty solid idea Fizzler.But consider Gal Logis Getting more shield than they already have NOW, without any other penalty.... : /

I edited my post. I changed the raw HP values a bit though.
