Where they Gallenette characters just in different suits?
Also, minmatar are allied with the Gallenette if you see them in there.

I didn't know what a Gallente was til I had been playing for a few months.
Still really don't.
Don't really care.
It's all about the suit bonuses and finding a populated match.

I wear a red Caldari suit in the warbarge. One, I think the irony is great. Two, people gather around me like they have never seen the 'Covenant' suit before. I always walk to the same spot. I go down the stairs, hang a left, and stand in front of the Battle Type monitor.
I spawn into actual battle in Gallentean suits though.

I use different suits in the warbarge for Gal FW despite being Gallente.
Doesn't mean I'm not loyal to them.

Suits are nothing, it's just a suit lol.
I prefer the amarr weapons and suits, but I'm Gallente, but... I will fight for Minmatar as this is the corp leaders race.

It seems that someone at CCP originally decided that we would all be mercenaries, fighting for the highest bidder - regardless of whether that is how we wanted to play the game. I can completely understand if people want to play the mercenary, but forcing us into it just seems like a bad game design decision to me. Right now there is absolutely nothing in Dust to encourage any kind of faction loyalty, but that is changing on Tuesday, and I'm hoping that FW2.0 is just the first step in a new direction on this subject. I'd like to see racial suits providing bonuses to racial weapons, the way ships in Eve do, for example.
Personally, you'll find me fighting in FW battles on the Minmatar side, in a Minmatar logi suit and - soon - firing a Minmatar combat rifle (unless its terribad).
