Killar-12 wrote:EVE OB's would be nice wouldn't they... Especially the ability to use one every 3 minutes Guess who's wanting to do war profiteering, this guy, but I'll offer OBs for 3 mill DUST ISK per battle beforehand, remember you'll get on average 4 to 10 strikes per match that are more powerful and not tied to WPs, additionally with Warbarge strikes earned from WPs, you'll be OP! I thought that was only for FW battles?
"Orbital Bombardment Warbarge strikes have been removed from factional contracts. EVE orbital strikes are now earned within EVE by capturing a complex above the district where a battle is taking place. EVE orbital strikes are no longer based on war points. When an EVE orbital strike is earned, all squad leaders are able to call the strike in. It is up to the EVE pilot to pick which request to fulfill. Both EVE pilot and warbarge orbital strikes can be found directly under the Off Map Support menu option instead of Off Map Support / Orbital Bombardments. Starship Strikes have been renamed to Orbital Strikes to be consistent with what it is now called in EVE. Warbarge - Precision Strike has been renamed to Warbarge Strike."

WB strikes AND the new OBs BOTH are available in PC now, CCP SocksFour wrote:This change applies to both Factional Contract and Planetary Conquest matches. If you saw the Fanfest 2013 Tournament then you will be familiar with how this works. Above districts with ongoing battles, EVE pilots will be able to view a capturable district satellite. EVE players will need to connect to the district and orbit the satellite for 3 minutes, at which time an Orbital Strike will be earned and squad leaders will be able to call it in. However, just because the strike has been called in doesnGÇÖt mean that it has been fulfilled: Other squad leaders will be able to continue calling in the Orbital Strike until the EVE pilot chooses which call to supply. This means that if your squad in particular is in contact with the EVE pilot, then you can ensure he supplies your Orbital Strike requests. goddammit now I'm wrong in 2 places ;_;
My friend was wrong it seems.
