No. They aren't.
Back at the very start of this game they set up all the weapon slots so that they cascade. Unless you're saying there's also something wrong with carrying an SMG in your Light slot, stop rage-vomiting about Heavies.

I said its not teribad. Its NOT a noob tube like it used to be pre uprising. I use the HMG still. I feel your pain. Its ok man. Edit: the damage and sharpshooter skill pre uprising made it a spray and pray gun from distance which its not anymore. All I'm saying.
Yeah, but now it seems like we're at the opposite end of that spectrum. It'd be nice to have the darn thing end up in the middle and actually be a good gun.
