The Tactical Assault Rifle is pretty good and even has some good hip-fire accuracy.
Though I wouldn't get too comfortable with it, it's getting a serious range nerf in 1.7
So if you want a good TAR you'll have to stick with the Scrambler Rifle.

NEVER! I've removed the SCR from all my fits, too easy, I can get 21 Shots off on a Scout mk.0 before overheating.
If you overheat in a Scout fit, you'll automatically commit suicide.
And I don't see why a weapon with Long range is given both incredible stopping power and a good ROF. The SCR just doesn't make any sense to me.

When you can kill one guy in 3-4 shot's even in CQC, an overheat mechanic doesn't matter

You know what's a fun combo?
Duvolle Tactical Assault Rifle and the Allotek Burst Assault Rifle on a ADV or PRO commando.
Try it. You'll melt in the chair when you realize how much fun your having.
