My main character is a Gal, and I have been thinking playing this character would go much more smoothly if I could wear my shields underneath my armor.
What are your thoughts on this idea?
I think it would also be cool if we had the option to switch between armor on the out side and shield on the outside, while we're playing in game. At the simple push of a buff.
Ya, ya, ya, I can already hear it "bla bla bla EVE bla bla bla".
Dust is not EVE. We do not have to do everything the way they do, nor do I think we should

Dust is EVE and EVE is Dust - same universe, same rules, same drawbacks ;)
However dropsuits and interstellar star craft are very different thing.

Fact did you know that at one point in time there were no mercs in lore.
Lore is something that is created. Let me demonstrate:
Oh, hay, look we eve scientist, just today, figured out how to put shield underneath dropsuits, but only dropsuit. Sorry EVE pilots.
And there you go, the lore has now been amended, all is right in the universe again.
