Ok! Maphia Clan Unit Unicorn/Maphia Clan Corp attacked Immortal Guides and we're using it as a chance to test the causes of PC latency issues. This, is their story. *cue Law and Order intro*
1) Testing vehicle spam: Not to much lag on my side, nor on my team-mates.
2) Hives and Uplink Spam. This is a tricky one. I came into the area, not to much lag. I left to get to a supply depot and get my own uplink spam fit, and when I came back, it was terribly laggy. To the point where I couldn't leave/move/recall my LAV. Lag lessened when I was looking away, but not by much.
3) Bullet Spam. No lag, even with myself and my teammate helping me.
4) Another Hive/Uplink spam, it looks like.
Throughout this match, MCUU was losing multiple clones (~20) because of DC's and Friendly-Fire messing around.
Any input from their side would be appreciated. :D

Pretty much this, we also found out that turning off coms actually helps. Our control groups didn't notice anything different (those with all sounds off).
Everything came back to normality when we destroyed our own hives/drop uplinks.
Strange things: testing Italians vs Italians didn't have and doing the same had little to no effect on match playability.
Is it just lag then?

If you noticed that comms help, it's likely that it's 16 people in the same chat. Multiple that by 2, it'll probably cause something.
You know the point where I sent you a mail about taking down the uplinks? You know the point when your teammates gathered around my S-LAV when I was near the doorway on the area with said spam? I was trying to get out of that place so I could send the mail, but lag prevented it. :(

There's just no reason it could be normal lag. I didn't drop a single frame, even when all the vehicles and redberries were crowded around me (A scary feeling, by the way).
The only time I dropped from was during and after the uplink/hive spam.

OH, here's a thought.
The bridge between EVE and Dust isn't there while in FW/Public matches. There's a small one in FW, but in PC it's much larger. Maybe being integrated between consoles is causing a bit of lag?

Might be, yes. Some says that you experience lag whenever there's a ship orbiting. But we tested that in FW, and we experienced no lag / framerate issues.

Should we set up another battle and try to get as many MCUU ships as possible, orbiting the district? Because again, there's a smaller bridge in FW then there is in PC.
Also, it has been suggested that we get a ton of vehicles and all hit a single point on a blank wall with large/small turrets. If the effect is big (L-Blasters, Missiles and Railguns. Small turrets also work with Missiles/Railguns), that could do something. 18 people firing missiles at a single point sounds pretty laggy. Of course there is the hazard of accidentally shooting a team-mates vehicle.
