I came across a post in the forums and they were talking about selling their BPO, for big ISK. It got me thinking about them and the way they could effect the player market. Three thing caught my eye, Rarity, player market and CCP making money.
Rarity, BPO are now rare and within the player market they will have a high price tag. Just with the price it brings a new meta game to DUST 514 and this shouldn't be a bad thing could it? there are so many benefits to BPO that could help out new players,Corps and CCP.
So lets start with CCP. If CCP sold a limited stock of BPO onto the market, Lets say 100 BPO every three months for real money of course. these BPO costing around 60,000 AR, These BPO could help players resale for ISK, Small corps could resale them to get in PC the list goes on.
BPO are good for Dust 514...

Also CCP has stated that BPOs are not functioning as intended, so, in the near future, I would be expecting that BPOs will either be changed (the way they are used/function) or removed from the game entirely.
100 BPO every 3 months

The game is already flooded with them. I probably have some where between 75 - 100 alone. {edit>>> without a groth in the player base, the only thing adding more BPOs would do would be to debase the value of the BPOs that already exist.
That's a lot but how many other people have that many
All i'm saying is BPO has a place in dust 514.

That's a lot but how many other people have that many Nearly all of the closed beta players probably have a similar number, as BPOs back then were being sold, in many instances, for between 10 an 50 Aur apiece. Also, for any vet that had been buying the merc pack, to fund their monthly passive/active booster requirements (because it was the most economical way to do so), have tons of copies of the Dragonfly scout, and then there were other BPOs, sold in the merc pack later on, such as the exile, toxin, dragonfly assault. Etcetera, etcetera, so on and so forth.
So your saying that the old BPO are worthless.

Can't imagine that the elite an vet packs sold an overwhelm amount of copies (but most of these BPOs had easily obtainable counter parts). And then there are the recruiter rewards.
BPO are apart of the game but having rare collectible BPO isn't a bad thing though. But i think your right at the moment theres to many BPO and when the player count goes up we could see limited stock BPO going on the market from CCP.

Rynoceros wrote:This nonsense about BPOs ruining the Market has to stop. They don't/won't. 98% of all BPOs are cheap *** Standard equipment. A BPO Dropsuit will probably save you <250,000 ISK a week for most players.
The frequency of Officer Weapons Salvage will have a far more tangible affect on the Market, dealing in hundreds of thousands ISK per transaction.
I'm not saying it will ruining the market, I'm just giving plus points on why BPO should stay.
