You think a company that makes a space video game would know the diffrence. TL;DR: CCP doesn't know anything about space. Also this is a petition to get CCP to change everything that has solar system in it to planetary system.
Correction: They are called STAR SYSTEMS. This system is the Sol System. Not Solar System, Sol System. Solar is synonymous with stellar, so, therefore, technically, they are not incorrect.

Well, there is the fact that most people, including teachers, only learn about the Sol System in Elementary school, and never again. I was curious enough to look it up on my own. Sol IS Latin for star, not Sun, we just took a different name for it when English learned the word, a Germanic name. It's the same with Luna. Our moon is literally called Luna, but everyone just learns "The Moon".

And Earth? Did you know that the real name is Terra?
Look, I took Latin in high school. While my name here is not literal, I took it from that experience.

Of course, if you want to be exact, it's Terra Firma. But... Terra is the short version.

especially considering that this is inaccurate information.
