Based on the current decimal system of patching, 1.8 will be early January, 1.9 early Feb, and 2.0?
Do we expect 2.0 to be the first major expansion? I'm thinking 2.0 will come out in May while we sit on 1.9 for two to three months giving them a longer dev cycle for some actual content (PC 2.0? PvE?)
Unless of course they start trolling is with 1.9.1 and 1.9.2 patches.
Let me play you the song of my people!

1.9 equals 1.90 not 1.09, so it rolling over to 1.10 makes no sense. Expect 2.0 to be a new version (no longer Uprising).

Since everything's been getting the "2.0" thrown behind it(Marketplace 2.0, FW 2.0, Planetary Conquest 2.0) I'm going to assume 2.0 will at least be a huge expansion or at least huge in potential rather than just coding.
I'm expecting 2.0 to drop PC 2.0 and the Player Market on us as well. I would say "idk I doubt it" but CCP proved me wrong when they added the FW 2.0 in 1.7 o,o.

1.1 =/= 1.10... you would read those aloud as one point one and one point ten. Has nothing to do with math Jason, even though you were most likely trolling, there are people who read those kinds of posts and don't know better :p |

Hence "it isn't mathematical".
1.9 =/= 1.90 in software. It's Version.Patch, so an 11th patch will show as +.11 not +1.1

You are mistaken. Update 1.9 is not 1.90 nor is it 1.09. In fact, Update 1.9 is not even a number. It is Dust 514: Uprising 1.9. As in, Dust 514: Uprising version 1, sub-version 9. If we are to assume there are more than 9 sub-versions to version 1, then the next update would be Dust 514: Uprising version 1, sub-version 10.

You are an idiot.
When the date is March Ninth, Two thousand, did it change to April First, Two thousand? Same basic principle. Each number is IT'S OWN NUMBER. It isn't a decimal system, they are just separated by periods. Learn to read dammit.

Here's the most relevant part of that article, if you don't want to follow the link:
Incrementing sequences There are two schools of thought regarding how numeric version numbers are incremented: Most free software packages treat numbers as a continuous stream, therefore a free software or open source product may have version numbers 1.7.0, 1.8.0, 1.8.1, 1.9.0, 1.10.0, 1.11.0, 1.11.1, 1.11.2, etc. An example of such a software package is MediaWiki. However, many programs treat version numbers in another way, generally as decimal numbers, and may have version numbers such as 1.7, 1.8, 1.81, 1.82, 1.9, etc. In software packages using this way of numbering 1.81 is the next minor version after 1.8. Maintenance releases (i.e. bug fixes only) would generally be denoted as 1.81a, 1.81b, etc.
RDVs are a failed experiment - can't we just remove them from the game?

no it doesn't
it would only go from 1.9 to 1.91 or 1.9X if it was a very small update or tweak. like flash player or something hot-fixing or releasing a patch for bugs or improving or adding just one minor feature
Full releases would make it go from 1.9 to 2.0
