I love this game, and no offense devs, but I haven't seen a Commando in a looong time. Why doesn't a Commando have the same hp as a "regular" heavy? If he has the same move penalty, maybe he should have the same hp. Or maybe he should have less of a move penalty, or more mod or equip slots; anything really. The current Commando is so underpowered that nobody uses it. The Commando needs to be upgraded.
...OR...
Add a module that allows a fitting to upgrade a sidearm to a light weapon. The tier (basic/advanced/proto) of this module would dictate the max cpu/pg the 2nd light weapon uses.
There are answers to this issue, many with "little" programming required, so there are semi-easy options. No matter which way this is worked out, let's get some sort of viable 2 light weapon option in there, cuz the Commando of today just ain't worth it in skill, isk, etc. |

I use the commando all the time too. On my alt.
It is very fun, and I have to agree CCP, show the heavy's some love.=)

The best way I can describe the Commando is fun, but not viable.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

Doubt it considering we aren't being reimbursed AR and ScR SP for the other two racial rifles.

There was an idea floating around the forum a day or so ago, about making each of the racial commandos a different frame size. One of the suggestion was a Gal light frame with three sidearms slots and two equipment slots. I really liked that one, as I suppose you would imagine. Caldari assault oriented, Minmatar Minmatar logistics oriented, etc.
