There is nothing wrong with shield tanking. I do pure shield tank with my Cal alt. You scrubs just have no concept of racial play styles (everybody wants to be friken Rambo). You want to be Rambo, Caldari was your first mistake. Now HTFU or spec into somthing else. Getting tired of listening to you shield and damage mod scrubs *****.

I'm pretty sure Minmatar are ment to omni tank. My current proto mini assault fit:
2x comp damage mods
2x comp extender
Energizer (can't remember which one)
2x armor plate (can't remember which ones; one is a reactive though I think, I might be wrong though)
Proto combat rifle (SOON no tm)
Various sidarm (depending on how I feel)
Locus

It's an alt character don't have the skills yet. Still an omni tank though.

I already speed tank my main, a Gallent. I am quite fond of my speed tanked assault gk.0 and I only use one shield extender and no plates. I also use speed tanked proto and adv Gal logi, and find it to be quite effective.

Did you even read any of the thread or just read the title and assume pure utter trash?
What is there to read? This thread is a single page and that post of mine you quoted is post #5. Try using your head next time before you post instead of just mouthing off like a complete ***, because you don't actually have anything of concequince to say but don't like what I have said.

Your comprehension abilities aren't to sharp are they? I am a supporter of the use of damage mods and oppose a shield buff.
