I'm glad we've seen so much come from this update and i cant wait to see what the plan is for the next 6 months. I'm here all the way and i know that your gonna make me fall in love with this game over and over again.
so whats the problem?..... I see hella hate from the scouts, (mostly because scout don mega is displeased) but i even see people saying they're gonna quit. this update really should RESTORE faith in the game not destroy it.... i admit ive had faith in this game that has been shaken at times, but this is proof that they are FULFILLING PROMISES that they made and are well on the way to balancing the game once and for all. scouts will have a better time when people stop using scramblers and use rail rifles which will suck for close up, and then you can easily nova or shotgun or what ever sneaky ninja stuff.
I think players need to give more then just the "benefit of the doubt" CCP gave us something really good here that we should appreciate. Just try to put yourself in there shoes for a minute, theres strategy involved in all of this. CCP is doing their best to balance an imbalanced game and have to depend on us the community to guide them into that direction. Why ruin an awesome thing?
Agreed. I feel for the scouts(and the heavybros too) and i think they're overdue some long and dirty luvvin' ;)
But that doesn't take away from this patch. What i wanted and expected from 1.7 was vehicles and that's what we got. If you take away vehicles, 1.7 is still a good patch, with a range of improvements, balances, fixes and quality-of-life spread across almost the entire game content.
1.8 is supposed to be the infantry patch, afaik. That's where i'd expect to see scouts and heavies get the attention they need. This next week is prolly the time for those classes to make sure that CCP continues to get quality feedback, since there's prolly still some flexibility in terms of what gets worked on for 1.8 - but do it quick because devtime is going to get locked up pretty fast.
To me, the most encouraging aspect of 1.7 is it is a further confirmation the CCP is sticking to their 'Fixing the Core' roadmap(as were 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6). That's the right call, and if we compare where we're at with the roadmap we're more than halfway through. That's a hella lotta vegetables, tbh. Hilmar better have some damned fine desserts lined up for us.
I support SP rollover.
