I wanna be a dust carebare and mine on highsec planets and fuel the fire of war with my unbreakable tritanium pickax and of course my tank with a mining laser on it. Then i want random drones to come out of nowhere and explode when ever im almost done building my awesome house that took me 5 hrs to build.
AND THIS IS IN ALL SERIOUSNESS I WANNA BE A CAREBEAR
mining though really lets do it. would bring a whole new wave of players to the game.
ohh and btw call suicide drones SLEEPER "CREEPERS"

I was just thinking about how awesome an EVE/DUST mod would be in my FTB Unleashed pack haha. By all means, if you have the resources to do the modding, or know somebody who does, hit me up for some suggestions! |

Are you suggesting a new gamemode that ties in with rubicon by allowing corporations to set up illicit blackbook mining operations on hostile planets where mercs defend other players operating as miners? Generating raw ore for the eve market as capsuleers in Special new transport ships descend into the carnage mid battle to collect it? perhaps as a rival corporation is trying to harvest the same rare ore and your team must take control of the opposing miner and destroy it from within or the defending owners of said planet try to halt this land based mining marges progress as it crosses the map |

I think a dust mod for minecraft would be awesome
Their is modular power suit which is the closest I guess lol
Or an open world game mode would be awesome
we could have mining rigs
Set up our vehicles as transport vessels
Have a corporate or personalal base
random drones to fight
Random merc fights
All sorta fun

Well.. that's a bit morbid. I am all for not mining on planets supporting life in any form or fashion, But what about uninhabitable planets? Giant round rocky space orbs that don't even have an atmosphere. That could be planetoids yes, But we do have really futuristic tech do we not? Why cant we at best send a small drop team to take mineral samples or even have a research vessel take a week at most and chart the planet down to the core? |

So asteroids and moons? Eve Pilots can do it better, garaunteed.

PI has been suggested for use in conjunction with Dust, I for one hate PI, would rather shoot drones messing with someone's PI (for a tidy sum) and considering that during PI you generally build factories as well would there not be a workforce, communications networks (causing delay in construction orders if filed too rapidly) and transportation links that would all need to be constructed? Sounds a lot like sim city if done inside dust but maybe it could work that you are the poor slob scraping by building these PI chains for Eve Pilots. Heck I'd hire you. As one side note, PI often requires things organic to make P0-P4 such as Autotrophs, Planktic Colonies etc. The OP stated he wanted to mine the planet which is different than PI, and don't you think it would be more efficient for an Extractor to do all the work than a Laser Spade?

I just had a read about the GÇ£Every Shore EndeavorGÇ¥ and mining is only banned across Gallente worlds. So we can still have the GÇ£Sleeper CreepersGÇ¥ :D

No, what i think he wants is turn dust to a real mmofps, so, get rid of game modes, get rid of planetary conquest, when you login to game you appear on the surface, say in one building your corporation controls, or in highsec npc district, there ppl can just go and explore the planets, get a vehicle for mining, start mining some ore, and knowing that they might be some drones, or pirates lurking around and willing to kill you and steal your ore.
At the same time, you have the bpos on the station being researched, and youre farming ore to bring it to the station to refine, because youve been 2 weeks investing skill points in the industry skilltree and you wanna start your industrialist career, but to manufacture the stuff of your bpos, say 'Sever' logistics Minmatar dropsuit, it will take a couple of days, because the BPC youre gonna be using are copies of your BPO, and youve copied it to be a 10 run BPC.
Thats when dust will really be a MMO... and for that to happen, lots of things must come first, for example, fixing protostomping, thats whats keeping new players out of the game, also, release dust on pc, where its big brother and natural market is, i dare to say 2/3 of eve players would play dust, http://eve-offline.net/?server=dust dust has less than 4000 players, eve more than 40.000
