So to calm my rage of the minja getting shafted, again, I decided to look through and see what I liked about 1.7:
When a repair tool is the active item all friendly HP bars will now be visible.
Added Minmatar Combat Rifles.(Yay )
Reduced AV grenade damage (Standard: 1050 to 725; Advanced: 1260 to 870; Prototype: 1470 to 1015).
Reduced Swarm Launcher damage (330 to 220).
Reduced Swarm Launcher lock-on range from 400m to 175m.
Added physical impulses to all weapon impacts.(Hopefully this makes my MD a slightly better support weapon)
Added a new volcano mood.
Added a new Caldari cityscape terrain backdrop.
Introduction of new volcano terraforming.
Salvage in factional contract matches will now be based on what players on the other team lose in the match.(Need to be able to sell this crap)
A new factional warfare tab has been added to the end of match screen demonstrating the status of factional warfare within New Eden and how the match youGÇÖve played affected the universe.
New specialist weapons have been added to the market and are only available in the loyalty store. These weapons offer prototype equivalent stats with lower CPU/PG usage and no other drawbacks.
Warbarge strikes have been removed from factional contracts.
EVE orbital strikes are now earned within EVE by capturing a complex above the district where a battle is taking place. EVE orbital strikes are no longer based on war points.(Be testing this)
You can now delete or mark all mail as read in the currently selected mailbox with a single operation.(I love you)
What're you happy for being included?
This doesn't mean you don't need to fix scouts DEVs....

The patch is not bad or anything, despite it screwing me over even more. But I'm used to it, being a scout and a heavy. Anyway, for the good:
I am happy that I get to play around with a Combat rifle.
Getting some new map aesthetics is cool.
Better foundation for vehicles&AV is nice, despite the lack of racial parity.
I am intruiged for the FW changes, but I won't comment on that much, as I've yet to read up on the all of the changes. |

I'm liking that the new vehicle stats are a secret buff to our favorite equipment. Maybe now we won't need a nanohive to pop a Gunlogi/Madruger.
The physical impulse thing raises questions. I hope it's not that crazy knock around effect the MD used to have. I've been using the thing almost exclusively since Chomosome and even I think it's OP. Maybe it means it'll kick up more smoke and debris.
AV got a much needed nerf, but the question remains, is it enough? The new swarm launcher range is more sensible with the massive overhaul to vehicles. Dropship mobility will hopefully be increased to reflect that change. Not sure about the forge gun yet. The damage nerf was a step in the right direction, but rendering is still a huge issue if they didn't address its range.
Being able to select mail is going to be a huge time saver. Now I can finally delete all those mass ascii marajuana leaves and penises Porter sent while I was still with Darkstar.
What the hell is a volcano mood?
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

Dropships will be interesting, especially Pythons.
-Huge increase to shield hardeners and boosters
-Huge increase to missile splash damage (not to mention damage, skill bonuses, etc)
-Removal of side turrets, allowing more space for modules and less space for blueberries
-AV nerfs all around (though still holding out for countermeasures and FG range changeGǪ)

Kills- Incubus: 3; Pythons: 0; Logistics: 0; Militia: 19; Tanks: 4

http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/orbital-strike-changes-coming-december-10th/
Quote:To start with, if you are part of a militia in Factional Warfare, when you actually complete an orbital strike in the warzone, we will reward you with a tidy sum of 3,000 Loyalty Points (LP) with your militia.
Quote:Well just in case some of you find value in killmails we have gone ahead and added them for orbital strikes that result in destruction and/or casualties. These will be generated when firing on both Faction Warfare and Planetary Conquest battles.
Quote:When an EVE pilot connects to a district they will also now be added to the team text chat and can join the team voice chat if they wish allowing for better communication between EVE and DUST players.
My 3 most favorite additions. ;)

I like this, AND I don like it.
as a vehicle driver, it's nice.
as infantry, it SUCKS.
It sucks that a rail tank can pop all the installations on the map in about 5 minutes. Before infantry barely gets a chance to hack even 1.
Currently, someone can at least hop in and share the WP. If there wont even be that anymore, then in my opinion, that's an unfair giveaway of WP to tankers.
Maybe it would be appropriate to have turret destruction be HALF the hacking points, not double.
after all, in normal action, usually there is a bonus for capturing assets intact? !!

Message from Godin: hummm....
Well Soxs started changing FW and making it good. I assume he and True Grit will start on PC next (if they're not completely done with FW), and then PVE time
Wolfman finally started giving us the changes for vehicles, and it's a good start. Still will wait on the rest, as this is clearly not even close to being done. BUt, as I said, good start.
Null brung the best news though. Dust killmails.
