Just some thoughts on things in DUST that I see as a problem. In no particular order.
- Dual tanking on suits. This could be fixed for Gallente and Caldari easily. I'm not sure about Minmatar and Amarr but as far as I see they have equal amounts of armour and shield (correct me if I'm wrong) so they won't need to be 'fixed' as much as the Caldari and Gallente. My proposition would be to have CPU & PG penalties on the Caldari suit when armour tanking, and CPU & PG penalties on the Gallente when shield tanking. This would make the suits much harder to fit and stop them being OP.
- The Caldari assault suits would benefit from having their shield extender bonus returned back to it's original 5% instead of the current 2%. This would help the Caldari assault suit match the amount of armour the Gallente suits can tank. I would also like to see the shield regulators get a buff in either CPU & PG reduction or effectiveness.
- Remove OB's from public matches. There isn't much more to say really. They are just boring.
- Bigger resistances for HP types. This would increase the use of teamwork and diversity in battle. Weapons mostly work like hybrids which is against the point.
- New players need to start with more SP. It's totally ridiculous that new players should have to compete with 500k SP. New players should start with 5 - 10 Mil at least. This would allow players to truly get excited about the game and get some good gear to fight with that will keep them playing.

They are being removed from Factional warfare. Not public matches. Unless I've read it wrong. |

An EVE-like approach would be good as well: Give the race's suits a boost to shields/armor and a reduction in the efficacy of the other form of tanking in such a way that it would be absolutely stupid to do anything other than that shield or armor. |

Agreed on all except sp I only have 2 mill and do good If there was anymore it would encourage throw away alts and worse fotm

I see what you mean. Maybe accelerated learning would be a better system. Accelerated sp rewards until 5-10 million? It would maybe deter people from wasting their time on an alt just to get FotM.
Your 2 mil is still better than the starting 500k lol. |

- Way bigger maps, more tactics, less deathmatch. There are whole planets to conquer so I'm talking at least quadruple the size of the average map. Nah **** quadruple them two times. I dont think Dust is supposed to be a quick unreal tournament or quake type of shooter, at least I dont want it to be. Speaking of such: UT3 has way bigger maps than Dust. Just saying....
-Moar Players. It's like in every video and every Dust fantasy some of us might have we see lots of stuff blowing up and great armies clashing, especially eve players who are quite used to really big figths. Dust still seems like pointless and generic skirmish **** (oh yeah they added little bit of faction standing... a number. Awesome)
- Add the rest of the game! (Minmatar artillery, amarr tanks, a real eve connection, gamemodes, PVE Stuff, a merc quarter with something to do, and so on)
- hey how about FACES? Not only the game is generic, we are too.
- Fix the Money/Match ratio. Include Skillpoints as a factor in the money reward calculation at least until you connect dust with the eve economy. Really no fun to play with tons of skillpoints and the ability to use alot of cool proto stuff but without money. The thought "hmm I need to survive about 4-5 matches to be able to die in that outfit once" really sucks.
- Whats the deal with the tons of random loot/**** you collect? Has anyone any order in his inventory? Does anyone actually use these items? I once made a Dropsuitfitting for "Crap I found" just randomly placing useless stuff in it to get rid of.
- Why are amarr not the best armor tanks in the game? Old, sturdy, no shields big armor plates and alot of decoration - thats amarr. Give them Gallente the balanced suits, that fits them more. I need more lowslots and less shields.
- Last but not least a personal request: I would like to reduce the damage of all weapons by like 75%. Yeah you read me right. Think about what will happen if a Dust Merc actually feels powerful and not dead after 3 seconds in like any situation.
Yeah I'm one of these people who say "Put everything in this game that was supposed to be there at release and do it now!" - a horrible kind of person I know. And a annoying one too. Every couple of weeks (months more likely) I check back into Dust, the forums, the devblogs and since the closed beta I came to the same conclusion every time: "Hmm yeah well the game's still **** but with improvement X". If we keep up this speed we have the Dust514 one might wish for sometime in 2023 |

I'd rather have totally sh*t graphics and have great gameplay.
Bigger maps requires more player in game. Better to just give us more maps. I hate running around a half empty map.
The game can't be released all at one time. They need us coming back for more.
It seems the devs biggest problem is that they don't test their patches before releasing them. They should know that buffing tanks and nerfing av was a bad idea, if, they bothered to play the damn game. They should let a random bunch of players test out the patches before they come out; gather thoughts and then release them after making any necessary tweaks needed that actual sensible players have noticed. |

The dual tanking is an issue, along with stacking damage mods.... It drives me nuts to see some dude triple stacking dam mods on a Kaalakota Rail Rifle. And the Gallente suits are by far the worst for that with any weapon... is it just me, or is it over kill to have 700+ Hp *and* 3 dam mods? Any who, dual tanking and the ability to stack damage mods needs changed. Stacking dam mods, of course, wouldn't be so bad if you could counter it with straight up tanking HP, but we all know that doesn't work. Great idea man, I think both the above issues would help improve the PC battle settings a bit. |
