What are your thoughts on Swarm Launchers with dumbfire?
What would your reaction be if they were given dumbfire back?
Should the receive dumbfire abilities again?
If no, then why not?

also it would be funny if infantry got screwed over by another thing that pilots get screwed over by

I don't think most of my suits would notice the difference.
Hell even a militia we are talking about 880 damage to a suit.
Splash may be lower, true, but I really don't want to see that much damage coming from a light weapon considering everything will still hit at close ranges, or at least half of the rockets which is still a crapload of damage.
Back in the dumbfire days I still managed to land direct hits consistently.

Unless you're using this in CQC you won't be connecting a lot of rockets. (Which CCP can limit the range in which you can dumbfire so it cant be used in CQC) |

If you used the swarms back in Closed beta when you could dumbfire them then there was two major differences between them. One being the damage being nerfed by 33% and the second being that the splash damage was nerfed extremely (It use to be like 3-4m now its no more then 1.5m). |

Yes. Just make it like av grenades where it can't hurt infantry. It would be better and a more direct hit on a tank, less retreat time. Then we can take the "no skill weapon" and shove it up the tankers' arses.

Anyways, I'm not asking for du,bfire, I'm asking what the community's thoughts on dumbfire.
And I'd love for TAC ARs to be like they used to. But I'd also like the option to pay for a Freedom Mass Driver BPO with only 15k AUR or 2mil ISK. I'd also like for an Officer Swarm Launcher.
Along with a whole lot of other things. Most of what I want would be broken as all hell though, so I won't request them. What people want and what people are going to allow are two different things.

You've obviously not run many LAV's if you've never had an AV grenade kill you out of the seat without scratching the LAV

They should have been dumbfire but now we have a dumbfire weapon GÇö the plasma cannon. If there is any weapon that I think should be a two shot tank killer it is the plasma cannon. Therefore, CCP should move the PC and the SL to heavy weapon status making those the Gallente hvy weapon and the Caldari hvy missile weapon respectively.
The PC is the closest thing to an RPG style weapon. The SL is too much a magic weapon with the power and mechanics of four different real world weapons. If the damage and range will be nerfed then I guess that pretty much takes care of SL being too good a weapon.
The FG should have a dispersion radius so that it does big damage up close but not so much at range. The PC should rightfully be the most powerful because it is dumbfire, has trajectory and is one shot reload.

I never found it a problem really...and yes I played in the closed beta.
The thing is, I never played back when it was super OP. I do specifically remember when they removed the dumbfire and all of the noobs would run up to me trying to fire it while I killed them. That was pretty funny.
I don't think we need more explosions in this game though.
