This point is spot on you seem to listen to a few idiots and ignore the real problems this game has ..
TTK is too low .. you do nothing ..
Armor tanking is far superior to shield tanking .. You nerf shield extenders
AR and ScR are ridiculously OP compared to every other weapon .. you add 2 new rifles and increase the range of both the AR and ScR ..
Forge Gun is the most OP AV weapon in the game so you nerf swarm launchers into the ground and change nothing about the forge guns
You know what CCP I said this was a make or break patch and you've failed miserably ..
No wonder you kept the patch notes away from the playerbase for so long it's abysmal

I appreciate a good nonsensical rant as much as the next guy, but forge guns are changing. The numbers just didn't make it to the patch notes. Logibro should be posting them soon.
No paid respecs without massive SP penalties.

Well, the shield nerf is a good way to nerf proto stomping a bit...since it'll mostly affect people who stack 4-5 shield extenders. Agreed that armor is superior atm, especially since shield users can't make up for it by adding speed. Ever since they introduced this dreadful aim assist, speed tanking is pretty much pointless.
I don't agree with your AR/SCR OP comment though.
I'm pretty happy with the patch notes overall. |

1. No one really asked for Shield nerfs. CCP made the decision with some reasoning. 2. They're working on the Logis so don't beat a horse that's about to die. 3. More than likely they're waiting before they adjust it or find the right fix to adjust it. I wouldn't make such a fast move unless it was making the game unbearable(it's not). 4. AR and ScR won't be OP to the new rifles as they have range over them. And last I remember, the AR was getting a range nerf. 5. Forge Gun isn't Anti-Vehicle it's Anti-Material. It's versatility for destruction is only limited by it's weight and precision. 6. The patch notes always show up around this time. Always.

Considering both new guns are anti armor I would not feel bad for shields. Feel bad for armor.
TTK fixing is going to require a massive balance pass on infantry gear, this patch was vehicle focused.
Forge guns are getting tweaked, see this dev post
Besides, we get freaking volcanos... 1.7 looks awesome.

It's an AV weapon.
It is also receiving a nerf, it was a clerical error on CCP's part and will be put into the notes shortly.

Well even you have to admit with your aim with that ScR you don't even really need that 300+ HP bonus a logi can get....I watched your clip, very nice gameplay.

CCP has been running behind ever since they released UPRISING.

Armor far superior? I think it's more of a problem with armor tanked logi's really. If you removed a low slot from all the logi suits it would be a bit more balanced given they have passive complex reps built in.
