IMO, they didn't get our hope sup high for 1.7. But to sneak in a super proto scanner, longer ranges and then add the shield extender nerf.. wtf? They should have just saved the shield extender nerf for the big infantry pass that is supposedly going to happen someday so there was hopefully less impact to us scouts.
