Just realized this, but this is a buff to AV-mines methinks...
Unfortunately, maps with supply depots probably weren't designed with the vehicle ammo resupply in mind necessarily, but that isn't a bad thing. It's likely that there will be very predictable patters for HAV drivers to take back to their supply depots.
Sneakily placing mines (who's damage wasn't nerfed I believe) near these locations will hopefully mean the death (or harassment) of vehicles (especially smoldering panicky out-of-ammo ones). |

This might be a major issue to the point where I think we'll need to be able to drop in ammo with WPs or something.
Then again I could be wrong, see as how we should always have a Supply Depot back at the starting point.

There's already predictable patterns to the paths HAV's will take just to get around most maps. Most of which would be the same paths they would have to take to get to supply depots; so them having to reload on ammo doesn't really change anything.

Yes, as was speculated back when these changes were originally discussed supply depots will become a major hot spot and camping point for AV. That is except the ones that cannot be accessed by the majority of vehicles because they are placed on raised platforms.
There is the possibility that some of these map designs, or depot ranges will be changed to compensate in 1.7 but I have yet to hear anything that confirms that and frankly won't be holding my breath.
My honest opinion and expectation is that the "recall" mechanic will be the primary method used for resupply of ammo. |

Right, but if I just put mines at the bottleneck of these starting points....
Either an unlucky LAV will catch them or I catch a weak and wobbling HAV. |

I think it'd be a little interesting if ammo didn't even come in the default vehicle, but had to be loaded from a supply depot due to 'instability issues'. |

The depleting ammo is a good thing. I like anything that drives conflict and changes meta. I think that adding ammo depletion and supply creates fights at supply depots and prevents redline HAVs from being as effective.
