the repair tool should give damage to the user to encourge the use of rechargers and energizers.
if the repair tool user received 5-15 damage per second while repairing depending on the tool. this would prevent repairing from being unlimited and make tanking more balanced for real logi's.
Dual beam tools should also be able to lock onto the user when not targeting any other targets to perform the LOGI HUG to self medicate as well as have shield recharging variants ( just increase the targets recharge rate by a %).

i am a support logi and we are not talking huge damge. everyone keeps saying logis can tank to much and are to good at killing so maybe some kind of negative evect to logis is in order.
your sheilds regenerate after 6 seconds or less for most logis at a rate of 20 hp or more per second so this would only be a temperary effect before your passive repper started to counter the negative effect.
so before you go running your mouth this is a suggestion open for discussion by a logi to make rechargers and energizers more valuable to a logi especially with the sheild extender staking nerf. so try and think before you open your mouth because I would much rather take some temperary damage than lose my light weapon.
6 seconds at 10 damage for a single beam rep tool would be 60 damage before your passive repper would take 3 seconds to recharge you. dont for get your passive recharger delay is the same weather you re taking damage or not.

you had constructive comment I had no problem with your input.
I use core rep tool on an advcanced caldari logistics fit 90% of the time when im not spreding uplinks or removing installations with a milita forge fit. I carry a scanner a rep tool and a injecter.
there is no limit to the repair tool other then wp timeouts. I just feel it should not be unlimited to use even vehicle turrets supply will be limited soon.
I'm not hating on Logi's I am one. It was a suggestion, one that did not go over well. this was not a solution for slayer logis but more of a use limiter / putting more intrest in energizers and rechargers and make the rep tool have more stratigic use rather than spam repping ( esspecially once heath bars are always visable)
if 60 hp is going to kill you you shouldn't be using the rep tool you should be shooting your gun or retreating to cover

once again the rep tool should only take 60 hp away before your shield recharger takes over. my point is not waiting until you are left with 60 hp. it is not using your rep tool when you are that vulnerable. so if you are almost dead don't rep. almost like it takes power from your shield to rep and that's the rep tools ammo.
