I just saw a thread in General Discussion that brought this up and I decided to go into detail here so you see the suggestion in both places.
It's a simple premise, we add on new commands to the weapon wheel that enhance communication and gameplay. When you select these new commands, they should do three things.
1. Symbols show up right above a person's head 2. If on a squad, these commands and the character name show up on your squadmates' screen the same way "You have been scanned" shows up when caught by a scanner. 3. Squadmates should be able to see where you are by a special symbol that lasts for several minutes. To distinguish between the commands, you could simply use the same symbol with different colors(red, blue, green, yellow, and whatever else). This helps logis find you to replenish your ammo/heal you or your squad to come to your rescue you or for a pilot to pick you up or however players manage to use them outside of their intended purposes.

While doing those things they should also have a limit of 15 seconds so that they're not spammed and so that players can track you efficiently.
What would be the commands?
1. "I NEED AMMO" - When you are low on ammo 2. "I NEED REPAIR" - When you need repairs 3. "I NEED AN ASSIST" - When you're in dire need of assistance 4. "ENEMY CONTACT" - When you first make contact with the enemy
All of these would serve a major purpose on the battlefield and would help make everyone's day easier if we could step up communication like this.
No more would Logis have to complain that they need to aim at players to check their status or that they can't even see if someone needs ammo or not. It will be much easier to turn the tide on a battle when you can call your team to your side or when you spot an enemy.
It'll elevate the communication of the entire team!

I disagree with this. Much of that could be automated rather than clogging up the command wheel with things very few people will use.
Example: A flashing indicator could be added if a player is below 25% ammo, or below 25% armor etc. On that note, there could be some indicator as well if a friendly is taking fire.
As for the command wheel, I think it would be a good idea for squad members to 'spot' areas for each other. Basically, I'd like to see something similar to the rally point for all squad members, which would disappear after 5 seconds.

I understand your point but does it matter if we "clog" up the command wheel? Unless you're a squad leader, you're not even able to access it. Unlike MAG, we're able to repair ourselves without having to use a tool. Some of us would actually prefer to not be healed when we're at 25% armor because we have high repair rates and some of us even have nanohives that we carry around when we run out and we wouldn't want those logistics to run all way out to us become of an automated indicator when we can handle our own stuff.
