Make all Grenades sidearms 4. Put the torches down and hear me out oh god please This would benefit the currently out of balance Assualt/Scout/Commando suits by... - Allowing many more tactical builds with either varied grenades or sidearms - Allow non-grenade users to field knives or really anything else - Allowing more damage potential opportunities makes the Assault role more defined - Allow very interesting dedicated explosives builds for area denial - Three weapons make the Commando much more powerful This would not be overpowered because... - At half damage, even core grenades wont be putting out more damage than a MD or AR, especially with limited ammo - As with the above, it wll take twice as many AV grenades to be putting out current damage - With 3 stacks of grenades potential spammers will give up any damage potential out of throwing range - Shields are are going to be useful for some things again Ways this might have to balanced include... - Will be a switchable weapon...every grenade will have to be armed by pressing R1 - When only grenades as weapons and the player runs out, he/she must use melee as their only attack (I like this one) - Melee with grenades results in either malfunction or breaking the grenade (with no explosive damage) - Maybe (just maybe) Logistics suits have to keep their G slot - Flux grenades would have to be reduced to around 1/3 current damage (while still instapopping equipment) - More skills to modify grenades would have to be implemented...or not. Think about it. Really. This would ease down current armor meta and be a nice stealth buff to shields. This would really make suits like Commandos and Assault really shine in their damage-output roles. To a lesser extent, Heavies and Scouts would gain a little power as well. I envision mad bomber scouts becoming a real threat as well as 3 SMG Minmatar assualts being fantastic duelists. I personally really just want to put knives in the slot I hardly ever use. And yes, of course this comes as a potential solution to the current Logistics>All other suits imbalance in mind. With more grenades on the field their equipment is going to be in more danger as well. This solves 3 problems: the current equal-to above damage-output potential, the tactical advantage over other suits (now there's going to be more offensive options not available to them), and last but not least nanohive nest infini-tanking. Thoughts? Criticism? RAAAAGGGGEE? For best results press R1 repeatedly. Consult your doctor if your erection persists for more than four hours.

No. The Commando's primary function is a heavy with two light weapons and an equipment slot- something that only the Black Eagle can relate to, since it is a scout suit with two lights (though with all technicality it's actually one light with one light weapon being used as a sidearm, one high, and one grenade. Unlike the Black Eagle suit, the Commando is capable of taking hits and gets stronger along the line (as the Black Eagle halts at one suit and will depend on changes of actual skills or modules that are limited to the suit). Also, if I have a Laser Rifle and a Scrambler Rifle (which I ironically do run often on the Commando), there's no way in hell I'll allow people to get close enough for me to even fathom pistol range. Heavy absorbs the most sharpnel from the explosion and gets more HP damage, scout receives fewer shrapnel pieces and gets to survive (I know that part is pure heresy) a grenade blast. Oh, sht!
