So I just made another alt, selected Minmatar as the race, and then got put into an Amarrian room.....
WTF
For all the lore CCP writes up how does this happen lol? |

You are in the correct system, just in a different quarters because the station you are in is cosmetically another races. I am stuck in a different one aswell and I really wanted minmatar. It would really be an option on what quarters you want if they are available in the system. Or the quarters should be your own races by default. Don't worry, in about 20 years we will be able to swap it. xD |

My Gallente Alts have different rooms. It's not like an Eve pilot won't dock because of interior design choices.
Also minmaters did forcefully acquire a fair bit of Amarrian resources so why not deck out your quarters like a hunting lodge of your favourite prey.
Turrent - the sound a tankers pants makes when he finds out the four swarm militia doing squats around him aren't AFK.

I actually got stuck in those cramped dingy matari quarters for months after uprising 1.0. Depressing!
Finally realized I could just put in a ticket and they put me back in my gleaming Amarr palace in 24 hrs. Go to the support section.

It is not based on blood lines, its based on factionalised space stations where we are located, you are on a station of Amarrian construction in Matari or Ammatar space.
