I can, and have, turned the tide of battle in a BPO fit as a scout, sometimes holding off entire squads, however FW is not a pub match and the win or loses have a direct impact in EvE so I'm likely to field my most powerfull gear.

How will you kill anything if you're using MLT/STD BPOs while your enemies are using Proto, yeah you would save ISK, but you'd also get killed by just about everyone, I get it, save money, but why would you gimp yourself to such an extreme just to save some ISK, you should be using BPOs in Pubs to increase your gains and you'd stand a chance at killing something. |

I'm not playing FW until full racial heavy weapons and suits are released.
I'm using an Amarr suit with a Minnie Heavy Weapon... I can't win with the new FW system....

Killing proto users isn't as difficult as you seem to believe, especially if you're using a rifle.

it wont take long for it to get sorted tho.. scrubs getting kicked from matches pretty quick.

same here, great move from ccp, cos pc will soon be dominated by the use of factional gear, so you are basically forced to play fw, while this automatically will force you to play pubs to earn money, to do this most efficient you will mostly run bpo/starter fits.
Should regulate the protostomps all by itself for only the over-scrub corps will reamin stomping.

No one likes a merc with bad breath!
But really, we've been very successful running cheap suits in FW before and captured a significant amount territory for the Gallente when TEST tried to push for the Caldari. Its funny how much of an impact properly coordinated groups can do against proto stompers while only wearing inexpensive gear.
Besides, I'm a tanker, I physically can't equip anything above Standard infantry gear.

It can be pretty difficult to kill them, more people will be running their best fits and trying even harder to win in FW 2.0, if you choose to hold yourself back to save some chump change it is on you if you walk out disappointed with the results. |

What's also fun is having an exceptionally solid team of Alliance OB pilots. With the new mechanic we'll be dropping Tactical Strikes ever 3 minutes consistently. If the enemy is running full proto all the time, that's going to get pretty damn expensive in the long run...

I'll generally be running good gear in FW and standard gear in public matches unless a squad of TKers ends up on my side then I'll adjust accordingly. My plan is to focus on FW now though.

The trick will be to limit the number of friendlies in the drop zone.

True but if you can properly queue sync your corp, communication will be good enough to avoid many friendly casualties from OBs.

Note: I do not condone the act of teamkilling, merely using free gear so that if I do get teamkilled, I lose essentially nothing.
...or I could just use a tank, hopefully no one will know how to use AV or take objectives.

Nope, Best gear for FW and Basic / free gear for Pubs to earn ISK.
I'm so psyched to actually have somewhere where winning actually matters and anything goes - cus they could have EVE support. So on the ground its gotta be no holds barred and decimate them asap before the sky starts falling.
I think I've always been cautious in pubs because I got paid for it. I felt I needed to turn a profit.
I'll happily drain my wallet in FW. With my loyalty rewarded I can make a **** tonne of cash on the player markets later. I'm investing for the future

I'll be doing the same I do in other game modes, I've got all of my fits priced and I am mindful of my "expenditures" (though, TBH, sometimes I get a little carried away going after the cowards in their tanks).
