A good Forge fit is not cheap either. Especially considering how easily it can get roflstomped by infantry.
A forge is just as easy to locate, and their camping spots are just as well known.
If the render fixes they promised come about, then it will be very simple to counter a FG up high, because rail guns will actually work at range.

If you call in a bolas in front of a FG, then yes, you deserve to lose your vehicle.
Relocate, and call it in somewhere else.

No you cannot.
FG range = 300m
Railgun range = 600m.
In no way does the forge shoot farther.
Damage:
FG w prof 5 and 2x CDM = 2286
Compressed particle cannon does 2274 with one damage mod and maxed turret skills.
So the damage race is pretty close. So considering that the railgun has double the range, is mounted on a vehicle, and has much more ammo than the fatty is pretty fair.

That is an issue with the bolas, not with the forge gun.
I fully agree that the bolas needs a buff.

No need for the drama.
Tanks will still be killable, just instead of limp wristed scrubs with swarms and AV nades, it will now require the fat suit and a forge.
Giving the heavy an actual job to do is a step in the right direction for everyone who wants an interesting game instead of medium frames everywhere.
Bad AV will always need to work together to take down a good tanker. Not because tanks are OP, but because people don't seem to consider that good tankers have lots of experience fighting AV, but most AV has never even seen a good tanker. I don't tank without seeing proto swarms and AV, all game. SO I know how to fight it, and how to escape.
Bad tankers will always get solo'd as long as the person attacking them is not an idiot. Unfortunately, OP AV made far too many players lazy when it comes to AV.

I as well have a fat suit alt, with a prof 5 forge and all the fixings.
It is absolutely easy mode to take down tanks right now.
Proto fluxes and one forge shot for any shield tank.
Proto AV's and a forge shot for every armor tank.
Hurray for difficulty.
In the next patch, with AV grenades getting a nerf, there may be some hope for armor tanks, but shield tankers are f'd. They just don't know it yet because they think the eHP numbers are going to matter.
Could the forge use a nerf? Maybe, but lets wait and see what happens in the next patch before we go calling for one.

Just wait until my tank gets a Scarmbler large turret for infantry, and a Beam Laser for anti tanks.

*activates laser pointer*
"Right there!"
That will be the easiest way to train a squad to team fire properly. Everyone shoot at the guy with the laser in his face.

That is an issue with rendering, not with the forge.
Besides, the rail can still blap a chevron at 599, while a forge cannot.
