most of my games end up in an "if i dont do it nobody else will" type of game
and i do it, and we win, does that make me a great player?
it usually IS me that decides weather my team wins or loses (within reason, im not equiped to solo an entire proto stomp squad) |

Only in Dust would Logi trash mistake placing equipment on a ground, as attributes of a great player. The whole Slayer and Logi relationship is not a two way street. Slayers win games not Logis Fact. Logis just make the process smoother.
This has been proven so many times before that it is embarrassing that this topic is even brought up. I'm not saying that what equals a great player is a Logi. I'm saying that all the people in this game who think they're great wouldn't win any matches without their team and squadmates supporting them. You are a slayer and you may be a great one at that, but you are dead without your gun. Without your weapon you are completely useless. You are out of ammo and cannot get to a supply depot; do you think those nanohives on the bridge just magically fell from the sky? There are great logi's, great slayers, great scouts, etc, but a great PLAYER adapts. Nah this is ReGnYuM he has and does win games by himself... its appalling really.... I don't care. If that is in fact true, then he is the exception to the rule. The rule being that the majority of players will not win games just by themselves. And if you are in fact winning games just by yourself, don't spawn on uplinks or use nanohives at all. If you get revived or someone is scanning for you, you may as well quit the match since you don't want anyone's help. You also better have hacked the objective, because if someone else did that "you" are not winning the match all by yourself even if you defended it because you weren't the one who hacked the objective in the first place. Truth.
no seriously, there are games when him/myself and others like us have actually HAD to do all that ourselves if we wanted or needed it for the game.
it DOES happen, and a few can actually pull it off solo.
your right though, it is an exception to the rule. but please awknowledge that quite frequantly there are players that literally HAVE to be an exception, and can manage to do so.
its not that people int hose circumstances dont want or need the help, its just that in that match they simply arnt going to get it.
to be honest im always dumbfounded when i find uplinks that i myself diddnt place, the nanohives i find are ones not placed for the team (judging by the placement) and i have never seen a rep tool used on me that wasnt a member of my squad. |

I have already acknowledged that by my initial statement that great players adapt. They do what they have to because no one else is willing to do it. Being the exception to the rule is something that you yourself make happening by stepping up.
i felt alot of anger though pointed at people who step up and win solo though. |

The whole argument of different tier gear is getting old. Pub matches don't test your limits. PC matches are where you see what truly good players are made of where EVERYONE uses proto gear. If you don't you're not competing.
PC is where you see lag inducing uplink/equip spam PC is where you see granade spam from hell PC is where you see blatant abuse of glitches, exploits, mechanics, map design
PC is a test of how well you can milk the system
PC is a poor example |

see theres a difference between good at the game, and good at milking the game
its simply not fun, i could do it... but it has zero apeal. |
