You forget Foxfour's little novella of a DevBlog he has yet to finish. We don't know if it has anything to do with 1.7 or 1.8, but one thing is for certain: they have been dropping hints about something for Faction Warfare, with Combat Rifles and all. An event I think, or maybe LP rewards? Faction Warfare is part of Foxfour's jurisdiction. Nothing in Foxfour's jurisdiction has been announced for 1.7. Ergo, it is reasonable to assume that Foxfour's team may have finished something in time for 1.7's lock.
