You'll find I'm someone who isn't new to FPS games. I've played multiple COD, Star Wars Battlefronts, James Bonds, Metroids, and MOH on multiple systems. I did HUGE amounts of Borderlands and Borderlands 2 (even custom gun modding). I was playing Billy the Kid Returns for MS-DOS with a joystick when I was 2 and a half years old lol. So I' d have to say FPS is one of my favorite genres which is why I enjoy DUST.
I'm looking for a good corporation to sign onto now and yours intrigues me. (Was thinking about going with Ancient Exiles). I've played a crapload of "freelance" public matches and now it's getting to the point that I cannot even somewhat carry teams of blueberry scrubs anymore and the public squads I've signed onto are terrible. Usually it's about a 1 out of 6 that I find a good one and when I do, they never stay consistent. I've been playing DUST now for over half a year and I'll be honest, you'd find my KDR currently isn't that great at the moment, but it's not "negative". Reason for this is I finally figured out how to aim decently and figured out the perfect control stick sensitivity just three weeks ago so it's improving considerably. I don't claim to be the greatest player by any means but I'm not the worst either. Went 38/2 multiple matches last week and several 15/0 earlier today (this morning was slow it seemed). Highest WP I've ever amassed on my own without a squad was 3k something.
I run caldari logi and have multiple times bagged enough warpoints to use my own orbital strikes even while solo. I work as a slayer/logi assault role but with special support elements, like uplink deployment and ammo restoration. Only teams I can't hold out against are full proto stompers when I'm stuck with entirely or nearly all blueberries, especially ones without active scanners.
I usually use Caldari logi with multiple complex damage mods, then I'll stack enhanced or complex armor plates. This leaves me room to use duvolle or assault scrambler rifle and then logi equipment (I'll pack hives, injectors, remote explosives, prox mines, repper, uplinks, or scanners, I use them all). Depending on state of the match and map I'll sometimes swap out the duvolle for a laser rifle and explosives if defense is needed.
I don't do well at all with pure AV. I can use AV grenades as well as the next guy but it isn't my strong suit. I can take out vehicles though for you if I have to as I'll use a prox mine and remote explosive combo. Taken out lots of logi jeeps and several tanks that way.
I don't sit around and play DUST 24/7, although I am on a couple days during the week during mornings and early afternoons.
Currently have a slight technical problem with my mic headset. Doesn't always want to sync to ps3, might need a new one. |

Yeah I'll check you guys out too. I've been in so many public matches now that I can recognize who fights extremely strong and streamlined and who doesn't by corp and player names. Ancient Exiles always had a very high efficiency/success rate I've found, but so do you. Fought some matches against people from your corp in squads, lost every time (a couple of them weren't even a contest, we were down by about 52 clones). The thing that stood out to me the most was you stating about having a great AV department. That's currently the biggest problem in matches I find is when the reds bring in high powered tanks as next to no one can effectively run AV for tanks anymore. Usually when I see tanks come in, I cant' get to a supply depot (or there isn't one) fast enough to swap over to my demolitions suit and have enough time to get my booby trap patches set up or if I do, no one covers me while I plant them in roadways.
Had another good morning for matches overall. Did outstanding in one match. Managed to fill the entire "who was killed by what" ticker with my assault rifle kills lol. Took out 7 people in a row on top of a building from another lower building doorway and stairs with multiple headshots one after another. Was pretty fun, but we still lost because we were down by 16 clones as our team wasn't too good.
Next Tuesday (got a research paper to finish and history exam to study for this weekend lol) I'll sign into your chat and see if I can squad up with some of you.

Yeah I signed into your guys' chat channel this morning. Had to charge up mic though and with the cold I got I couldn't talk much anyway. This may appear to be a really stupid question but I have to ask it because I don't know what the terms mean and apparently I need to.
When people write in the chat looking for squad (lfs) people often answer with rf2, rf3, rf4, or rf5. Some people answered with o7 also. What do those terms mean?

TYVM. Been wondering about those for several weeks. Yes, the o7 is quite ingenious. Those new rail rifles work pretty good (tested those today), can still kill people faster with the good olde fashioned duvolle most of the time though.

Yeah I seem to get killed a ton by those in matches. My rail rifle is really deadly if i can get set up in a good spot. People never see it coming because I run it with 4 damage mods lol.

I actually thought about skilling into it but took rail rifle instead. Thinking I should've went with combat rifle lol. Might have to skill into that next week to try it out. Although I probably should finish the logi suit levels so I can quit using proto Aurum suits, gets pretty expensive after awhile.
