At first i wanted to say increase complex shield regulators to 30%. but then i ran the numbers to see what 30% shield regulators would look like... my god would it be OP. (Caldari Assault would have a 1.35s delay with a 2.16s depleted delay)
so now i think that what they really is isless cpu. 3 comples regulators cost 105 cpu. if you dropped the complex shield regulators to only 20 cpu each then it would open up some fitting.
i built a proto caldari assault fit with a nice shield tank, but can only run a standard AR because there's not enough cpu. dropping the cpu to 20 would at least let me fit a proto AR (with NO grenades, sidearm, or equipment.)
Please CCP, consider reducing the cpu of shield regulators. |

max skills for proto caldari assault is 394 cpu and 79 pg.
the fit i built is this using complex mods except for the AR which is an Exile:
this suit use 390 cpu and 46pg
3 extenders
1 energizer
3 regulators
with that, your shield related stats would be:
486 hp
52.82 recharge rate
2.33 delay
3.72 depleted delay
thats with our current mods. increasing complex regulator to 30% would give you the 1.35 delay and 2.16 depleted delay.
this was calculated with stacking penalties
Saoa Scum i believe you for got that caldari "assault" suits start with a base delays and depleted delays of 5 and 8 respectively.
stacking penalties are as follows:
11 20.869119980800398 30.57058314351056 40.282955154023261 50.105992649742704 60.02999116653328 70.006410183117534 80.001034920482669 90.000126212682546 100.00001162675393 110.000000809046407 120.000000042525346 130.000000001688425 140.000000000050638 150.000000000001147 160.00000000000002 170
the numbers on the left going 1-17 are the number of modules and the percentages on the right are the modules effectiveness.
use one module and its 100% effective. the second and third mods would be at 86% and 57% respectively.
do you need further explanation? |

Alright thank you for clarification, where have you found exactly how much the stacking penalty is? would like to see other modules penalty.
So with your calculation on that fit it would still need 4 sec before it regens as much as 1 complex plate has extra hp, its still by far much more effective to just fit one complex plate then 3 regulators wich also would be cheaper on the cpu ( might be able to fit a better weapon ) but however it seems more balanced i agree on that but the logis dont have the luxury to have bonus on recharge rate. Im not saying that it should be buffed yet... i much rather see a kick/dipersion added to the rifles before any kind of balance should be made. Im just stating that with the current TTK it would not be unbalanced to buff the regulation, for lets be real...4 seconds is an awful lot of time in a gunfight

I don't know... TTK is really bad right now, so yea, buffing the regulators seems like a great idea. 2 second delay would be manageable in a fight. but again the cpu cost is restrictive.
of course, why not buff them and reduce cpu cost at the same time lol? |
