....17 and 0 in a Rail Gunnlogi running around inside the map between A (On the bridge) and D (out in the boondocks)
Didn't see a swarmlauncher for the first half of the match.
No AV grenades,
no Forge guns,
and the only time I got pushed back was by a ruff group of MLT swarm launchers who only started pulling them out when I set siege to their last a clone reanimation unit.
To top it all off several of the enemy team decided the best way to take out my HAV was by shooting my optic with ARs and ScRs.
Did I get dropped into an Academy match or something? Now I'm happy I didn't lose my HAV but what was with the abysmal AV gameplay on the part enemy team? Please someone help I'm very confused
That time when you turn a corner and find the entire enemy team.Oh Heck

Matchmaking sucks. Need I say more? I get thrown into matches where everyone and their mothers are prototype, then get into ones that they are all Mili. I'm ADV/PRO, myself, so either scenario is boring.

You too good tanker, one of best, that's all.
To know the true path, but yet, to never follow it. That is possibly the gravest sin.

New guys who don't know what they are doing, you got lucky. It's mandatory now in my corp for everyone to skill into advanced av weapons and have a fit ready to go.

That is the true job of AV, forcing an enemy tank to have to retreat from a position is as good as destroying it as your taking it out of the battle.
Even with tanks on the field it is pretty easy for infantry to avoid you and still go about their usual business and good players will only switch to AV if the Tank begins getting in the way of the team doing something like capping a point or defending the point in domination. Bad players will all switch to AV at the 1st sign of a tank and then proceed to get slaughtered by the enemy infantry ... sure the team you were against may have been bad but they aren't as bad as you think. (Although shooting your tank with non AV weapons is pretty bad)
I have often got caught out by the whole switching to AV to destroy a tank and then get killed by infantry idiocy .. it is really hard to learn when you need to switch to AV to deal with a tank and when it's better to just ignore them, I personally have my worse games when I switch to AV and not just because I may suck at it but because I'm up against good tankers who just retreat as soon as they start taking damage

It's a shame that my user sucks at DUST

Thanks for the complements but I am by no means one of the best tankers out there. Those guys can earn a profit tanking. I'm lucky just to survive the match intact with a kill hear or there.

Matchmaking is definetly weird. Got bored yesterday and sat on a rail gun turret in one game. I was assuming it would be destroyed after the first couple of close range kills but no 6 kills later nada. So I wandered off to drop some uplinks and so on and saw the turret was still there so jumped on and killed half a dozen more. Like you I can not understand it generally any turret with a good line of sight is killed pretty quickly. The turret lasted the entire match. |
