((You should make sure your post doesn't read like a youtube comment. Actually put in effort to making the post, because otherwise you are just saying 'this merc of mine speaks like a high-school bimbo'. I mean this as constructive criticism; if you look at most other posts on the IGS, especially those who RP frequently, you'll see they actually commit to formal-esque writing)) |

Indeed threats against you like killing you from orbit are a bit childish...and unfortunately there are no shortage of childish capsuleers nowadays it seems.
Don't underestimate them however. I'm sure the right amount of money could easily convince nearly any mercenaries backers to sell your clone contract. Then the next time you die, you might find yourself in your very last clone, restrained in your awakening chamber, with the grinning Empyrean savoring the moment as he puts one final bullet in your head.

Unfortunately, our implants originally came from Sleeper technology, not Jovian. Also, as far as we know, the Jove are all dead, |

((Yes, when Roden confirmed the existence of the clone mercenaries, he did mention that the original designs for the implant were based on technology salaved from beyond the wormholes. Knowledge that the original was sleeper tech can be considered in-character knowledge. Link )) |

Indeed, Yee Hun, Roden confirmed the sleeper origins of the technology when he revealed our existence, and the problems inherent with it.
And Heathen, I'm not sure where you're going with that. We know that the Sleepers were once part of Jovian society, but split off for some reason and escaped into what we now know as wormhole space.
The Jove themselves admitted how serious their disease was, and that they were nowhere near developing a cure.
I don't know why you are mentioning AI's, since sentient artificial intelligence is completely banned in any form by CONCORD, after the disastrous research that led to the rogue drones.
All of this is punctuated by the fact that Jovian space is overrun by the Sansha, a good indicator that the Jove have completely died off, or are at least in such a weak state that they can not possibly defend themselves of their technology against them.

indeed we know. A probe sent through one of their wormholes during the initial incursions sent back telemetry and images showing it was in Jovian space before being destroyed. On the other side, vast Sansha armadas could be seen. I was personally monitoring the event in real time, analyzing images and data as they were made available. I still have the image saved HERE. The image unfortunately confirms the notion: The station in the background is "Prosper Vault", a key Jove station in 3-CE1R, within Jove space. .
And yes, the Jove have been dealing with the disease for some time, but that only adds to the speculations of their demise. It seems like they knew they were nearing their ultimate demise when they closed access to their space years ago. It is also likely they did not tell us just how fast it was progressing, for fear that we would come searching for their technology once we knew they were gone. I have no doubt they knew how dangerous it could be if any one group got their hands on it. |
