I decided to risk it and
purchase an Elite Pack and Veteran Pack out of sheer experimental curiosity from Gamestop.com. I have currently received a physical copy of a redeem key for the Elite Pack and an email correspondence promise that a code for the Veteran Pack is ready to download; however the Veteran Pack order does not exist in my order history feed, thus I cannot begin to claim it. Email and phone corespondence has been utter abysmal. While it is Black Friday weekend, I was on hold for 32 minutes to reach a man who said he didn't have the tools to coordinate a website issue, and put me on hold to another department. I hung up after another 15 minutes.
The real kicker is that PSN no longer accepts these actual product codes, thus indicating that I you have an unclaimed code, regardless of purchase time it is invalidated. This may be an additional issue for people who purchased multiple codes several months ago before CCP's announcement of the elimination of these packs.
This 'experiment' shines very unfavorably upon Gamestop and their service provider Trymedia.

Robert M.: Hi, my name is Robert M.. How may I help you?
Jadek: Well It looks like I've run into a serious issue with a product code from Gamestop and Dust 514 on the PSN
Robert M.: I assume you keep running into error messages when attempting to redeem these vouchers?
Jadek: I purchased a code for a product that no longer exists in the network.
Jadek: Yes that's issue
Robert M.: I see, Jadek. I'd be happy to look into this for you today.
Jadek: Thank you :)
Robert M.: We are aware that users are experiencing some disruption to the PSN service. To minimize the inconvenience we have suspended the GÇ£redeem voucherGÇ¥ functionality while we investigate further. Unfortunately this means that money cards, product vouchers, PlayStation Plus vouchers, PS3-PS4 upgrade vouchers and any other vouchers for digital content are not redeemable at this time. Other PSN features such as log in, online multiplayer gaming, PlayStation Plus trials, PlayStation Store (excluding voucher redemption), Trophies, messages, friends, etc are all available.
Jadek: Is there anything else you would need from me? Product codes?
Robert M.: Rest assured, we are working to resolve this network issue as soon as possible so we can reinstate this function of the PSN to allow users to redeem their vouchers once again. We greatly appreciate your patience at this time. Feel free to keep an eye on the PSN Blog so you'll know as soon as this issue has been resolved.
Jadek: Oh...that's very good to know. Thank you.
Robert M.: Not a problem Jadek, I'm glad I could ease any worries you may have had!
Robert M.: Is there anything else I can assist you with today?
Jadek: No that will be all for now. Unless you have an ability to credit codes to my account manually.
Robert M.: Unfortunately not sir, but you should have no troubles redeeming that voucher as soon as the redemption tool has been re-enabled.
Jadek: What is the estimated time frame on that
Robert M.: At this time we do not have an expected time for this to be resolved, but our online tech moderators are working diligently to take care of this as soon as humanly possible. I do greatly appreciate your patience, Jadek!
